Crab was densely packed with little water. Overall I was very happy with the taste and texture. I will be using this product again as it was much better than other canned crab products I have tried in the past.

There’s a lot of crab packed into this container. It’s perfect for my soups, pastas and crab cakes. Well worth the price and no fuss.

Usually, I purchase fresh crabs from the Bay when I visit my son in DC. Because it's way cheaper than buying packaged. I was very worried about paying the price for this product, but I had a taste for crab cakes and dislike imitation crab meat. So I bought it and once I opened and poured it out I was relieved. It actually was a good amount of meat, fresh in taste and no shells were found. I got 8 medium sized crab cakes out of this container.

The crab is fresh and the taste is real. I grew up in Tampa Fl, Crab Cakes and Cuban Sandwiches were special. To my recollection the crab meat back then was genuine. I purchased the crab meat recently from Sam's and my wife prepared it. It reminded me of my love of good crabmeat. So many ways to prepare. If you haven't tried it, look for a recipe and enjoy. Crabs ain't pretty but they taste great.

I purchased the lump crab to be used in a crab bisque soup. The lump crab was flaky, sweet and flavorful. I did notice small shell fragments throughout the crab which was unpleasant. I purchased the product in previous years and felt it was better. Not sure if this is due to manufacturing of the product.

Label states "Lump Crab Meat" , over half was shredded and stringy. Quality is definitely slipping from past (20+ years) purchases of this product.

Wonderful in crabcakes and crab salad! I purchased more than needed for a party where baked crab cakes were served,Those leftovers for the next 2 days were marvelous. With still a pound left, we put some in gazpacho and a divine salad in avocados. A real indulgence once in a while at an affordable price.

Not really what I expected. I guess I was expecting to see whole lumps but it was more of a shredded version. The names "lump" "special" and "jumbo" are thrown around a lot with crab meat. I guess I learned a lesson. The shredded lump meat like this makes it harder to form cakes without falling apart.

This was not crab meat. The product was a mussy watery mess. I would have returned the product but we had a flight out of Denver that night and had no time. I will never purchase this product again.

I bought it on April 9th and went to use it on April 10th and once I pulled the metal tab off the top the smell was horrible, it was spoiled so I had to throw it away. A waste of almost $30
