She loves using her imagination while playing with this set. It is age appropriate and I think it fosters the emotional development of toddlers. To wash the set, we use a mesh bag and wash it on delicate mode. We also wipe the pieces. This is a durable set in terms of quality so frequent washes/cleaning will not affect it
