These light will brighten a room for sure! We replaced 8 inch square recessed lights in our basement, so I had to choose a larger light to cover the holes. The most difficult task by far was hanging the electrical box in the ceiling to hang the light fixture from. Well worth it, put up 6 of them!

Love that you can adjust the color of the light with the integrated switch, but if you want to switch it after installing, you have to take the light off the mount to flip the switch.

If you can easily replace light fixtures and get the wiring done correctly, this is the product for you. I would need tools and help to get this setup. Other than that, it looks like a nice light and has a good weight to it. I gave it to a friend who has the space to set this up and will update review when he can put it up.
