Charmin Ultra Strong is amazingly just that; STRONG! I know because I've put it to the test. When our package arrived, my family of 3 was all sick. Cold, allergy, sinus-y stuff. Bleh. We had just run out of tissue so the timing was perfect. Normally, we buy the knock off of Scott tissue, which is thin but hey, we get 1000 sheets per roll and on our tight budget it makes sense. Anyway, trying to blow your nose in that stuff is like asking to have a sandblaster rip your face apart. It's horrible! Not to mention extremely thin. One blow and you'll understand that you should've just saved yourself some time and used your hand. This Charmin ultra strong though couldn't be beat. I blew, and I blew, and yet there were no holes. Immediately, I was impressed! Next stop was the bathroom and let me tell you, it held it's own! It was soft and a nice change from our usual sandpaper like experience. I've seriously contemplated switching. The ONLY problem that i have is that I can't bring myself to pay the same price for 164 sheets vs. 1,000. While we def. need less of the Charmin, a single role only lasts for about 1.5 days in my house. (Girls!!!!) Whereas the other stuff lasts about 4 days. As far as cost goes, I can't commit myself to switching but if they'd meet me halfway and put 500 sheets on their rolls, I'd not only buy their toilet paper, I'd invest in their stock. Great product. Perfect for any occasion. Def. something to put out for guests.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sample was nice to the touch, a little bit of a cardboardy feel to it - not sure of it's absorbency value - cause I had no issues in that area. If there was some way they could tone down the feel to make it softer, then this item would be a winner - because if I bought this off the shelf and tried it the way that it is today, that would be the last package I would but. Sorry....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We figured we would try Charmin Ultra Strong and compare it to our usual brand. We've been loyal to our Clubstore brand for over 5 years (after all their toilet paper was highlighted on CNBC), and figured it was time to try something new. When we first received the package we noticed it wasn't as big as our regular brand. The roll size thickness (number of sheets) was less than our regular brand, the width of the toilet paper was also about an inch shorter. So we replaced our toilet paper, and my daughters were the first to try it and immediately asked for the old stuff. Though Charim is durable, the softness is just not there. Great toilet paper if you are looking for a strong, durable roll, however you will be sacrificing comfort, size and width.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sharmen ultra strong toilet paper lives up to its name. The tissue is very thick but soft at the same time. The rolls as twice as thick as the normal toilet tissue that I normally . You do not have to worry about breakage. And have a feeling of clean after use. What is good about the tickness is a little bit goes a long way. Saving you paper and money at the same time sine you will use less it will last longer than your normal brand.

She uses Charmin Ultra Soft, so naturally since she bought it, I used it. So when it was my turn to restock, I went back to the Scotts. Well, that is until today. I got my Bzz Kit with my 4-pack roll and I decided to give in and admit that Charmin is the only way to go... and Ultra Strong is the softest tissue known to man. It is fluffy and squeezably soft. It doesn't rip upon usage, is absorbant and soft. My wife wanted to know why this campaign does not include coupons... I am SOLD!!!

My son and I decided to put the strength to the test using pennies. We wet a single sheet of Charmin Ultra Strong and placed pennies one by one on top. It took 21 pennies before it broke through the single square. We then tested it against Angel Soft, our usual brand of toilet paper based on price and value. The single sheet of Angel Soft ripped on the first penny. Two Squares didn't fare much better. Five squares of Angel Soft, and still the most we were able to get on were 17 pennies. In fact the only thing that held up to the durability and absorbency of Charmin Ultra Strong was Bounty Basic Paper Towels where a single sheet was able to hold as many pennies as a single sheet of Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet paper. To say it opened our eyes to the outstanding value of Charmin Ultra Strong is an understatement. One sheet of Charmin can clean better than five sheets of Angel Soft, so while the price of Charmin may be a bit higher at the market, it is pennies compared to what it can save you on the bottom line. Needless to say the Value of Charmin is second to none. So how many sheets does it take to get to the center of a roll of Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper? With that strength and absorbency, the world may never know!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I really like about Charmin Ultra Strong is that it is both soft and strong. While Ultra Soft is softer, it tears apart more easily. Also, the texture is more soft due to what I would call being "flocked". The problem with that is it creates a lot of dust and anything that is damp or wet (well just about everything you'd use this on) gets flocked as well, which you sometimes have to wash, or you'll get little lint balls stuck on yourself. So, in that regard, Ultra Strong is better. It is soft enough and softer than most. To me, it is important to be strong to wipe up odd goop in the bathroom, blow your nose in a pinch, etc.
