[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember the old TV commercials ("Please don't squeeze the Charmin") and to be frank, I never really cared for that product. But the Charmin Ultra Strong is very different. First of all, it really is very strong. Secondly, it doesn't seem as "fluffy" as the old Charmin and that was what I really didn't like about the older product. I am happy with this new version. I am not really sure yet, if it goes further and lasts longer, but I think it does. I will need to try it longer to have an aopinion about that.

I always purchased the cheapest available, resulting in terrible experiences. The Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper has truly made me a believer! It is soft to the touch and has the strength to clean without tearing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I'm a guy, before trying this, I always went cheap 1 ply tp, usually with wood chips still in them. I figured it's all the same, what would I want that foo foo tp for. I'm now a believer. I will only use the soft stuff from now on. This held up even better than what i'd use before, and is now my new favorite. I was concerned, but after using it, and reading the package, I'm not worried about it being harsh on my septic tank.

In my oppinin when you changed Charmin red it went downhill. The paper will stick to the little bears behind now. Before hand it only took 3 sheets now it takes5 sheets. I stayed with Charmin rea becauce it was the best, now I guess we'll find another bathroom paper. There is 3 or 4 other ones that are pretty good. I guess all in all you ruined this product which use to be one of the best. Sorry but that i the way we feel.

My son and I decided to put the strength to the test using pennies. We wet a single sheet of Charmin Ultra Strong and placed pennies one by one on top. It took 21 pennies before it broke through the single square. We then tested it against Angel Soft, our usual brand of toilet paper based on price and value. The single sheet of Angel Soft ripped on the first penny. Two Squares didn't fare much better. Five squares of Angel Soft, and still the most we were able to get on were 17 pennies. In fact the only thing that held up to the durability and absorbency of Charmin Ultra Strong was Bounty Basic Paper Towels where a single sheet was able to hold as many pennies as a single sheet of Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet paper. To say it opened our eyes to the outstanding value of Charmin Ultra Strong is an understatement. One sheet of Charmin can clean better than five sheets of Angel Soft, so while the price of Charmin may be a bit higher at the market, it is pennies compared to what it can save you on the bottom line. Needless to say the Value of Charmin is second to none. So how many sheets does it take to get to the center of a roll of Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper? With that strength and absorbency, the world may never know!

It was comfy, yet sturdy. I even used a roll when I was sick to blow my nose. I am very satisfied with the Charmin brand bath tissue.

I've been a user of Charmin Ultra Soft for years, it's strong enough for me, and I'll continue to use it. The Ultra Strong may be stronger and more tear resistant, but it's definitely harsher and more abrasive. I won't even finish the 4 pack sent to me.

You know you can get CLEAN without making an additional mess. Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper is very strong and doesn't fall apart. The mega rolls are the best because they last really long and you are not constantly changing rolls. This is only Toilet paper I have been buying lately.

I can't believe that cost saving measures are more important than maintaining the quality of your product. How narrow will you go ? Is the thickness of the ply next ? You need to check out Cottonelle's latest commercial ... you and Angel Soft need to rethink what you've done to your product. Bad decision !

It is not harsh or made to feel like a paper towel. Sure you could use paper towels and they would hold up but you want softness This product Charmin Ultra strong does the job without all the work.
