The charmain ultra strong is like the cotton that is sewn tightly.. like the best kind of sheets has the most threadcount.. This is the best toilet paper out there and I highly recommend this!

My wife actually came out of the bathroom and mentioned to me how durable it looked yet it felt so soft as she was using it. I have been pleased with the times I have used this product as it has been comfortable and soothing over other brands. It sure beats the cheap 1 ply they put in the stalls at my job for us to use which requires about a 1/2 roll per bathroom trip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's be honest ... toilet paper isn't what I think of when it comes to product reviews. I have a brand or two that I avoid (they tend to tear under 'normal' use), and from the rest I choose based on price. However, I have been extremely pleased with the Charmin Ultra Strong. It is comfortable to use, and so far hasn't clogged up any of the toilets in my house. As a single dad with a young daughter, one of my primary concerns is that she never again clog up a toilet by using so much TP at each sitting, and Charmin Ultra Strong has passed this test with flying colors! My next criteria is comfort, and this area I can vouch for myself. Ultra Strong is easy to use, even on 'challenging' situations. I absolutely recommend it, and expect it will become a go-to option for me in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review rating is strictly based on the quality of the paper, I'll expand on this particular package more a little later. It's strong enough to use only 2 squares in a pinch, while 3 squares is as strong and comfortable as 4 or 5 of any other quality brand. But even more importantly it's low linting unlike most other "soft" toilet papers. I am on public sewers so I don't worry at all about the extra bulk of the tissues, if you're on septic these are rated as safe, but of course safe and ideal may be two different things... I will say you can use less than other thinner brands so it should be a wash. As for the Double (2x) Roll vs Regular (1x), vs Big Roll (1.5x) vs Mega Roll (4x)... I'm split between this and the Mega roll as the best size to get. On one hand I hate changing rolls out all the time (which is why I don't buy the smaller sizes), but the Mega roll makes it too easy to take more paper than you need when you first put the roll on. So this is probably the best compromise but I'd like to see a 2.5x or 3x size roll. So for the length of the roll I would rate this pack as 4 and a half stars. As for marketing games and the possibly narrower size. I think everyone is right that it is narrower. I TP used to store very tightly when stack on top of each other on the shelf and now there's a little extra room. For me it's a non-issue as I don't rely on that dimension enough to notice, and it's a little easier for me to store... But I could see how it could concern some people, unfortunately there isn't a better alternative. As for a decrease in softness, again it's not one that I could notice and still better than the alternatives (since I find ultra soft tissues too linty or weak).

I was honestly surprised that we used less of it each time, which really does make a difference when comparing costs. Charmin Ultra Strong is not only super durable, it is still pretty soft. So it wont kill you. I'm honestly impressed with it and will probably switch to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having some time to compare this product to my 1,000 sheet cheapo brand toilet paper I feel that I give this toilet paper a fair to good rating. I base this rating of myself and other family members experience while using it. Both myself and the other member of my home liked the softness of this product. But we both agreed that the thickness of this product cause some issues for us. We seemed to have a few clogged toilet trips compared to our normal 1,000 sheet brand. We both also feel that the toilet paper seemed to not last real long. I feel that coming from a 1,000 sheet brand to this brand was a huge jump in quality but a huge let down in quantity. So based on that I feel a 3 star rating is justified. I personally feel that for the price I will continue using my normal 1,000 sheet cheapo brand in the future.

I'm pretty particular about my toilet paper due my parents not being able to afford good quality toilet paper when I was a child. So I want to spoil myself on occasion and TP is one of items where I want the best. Now I have a new product to spoil myself with.
