If you're looking for something that is thick and covers a lot, this is the product for you. It's soft and you don't feel like your fingers will tear through and have something undesirable happen... :) great product!

I have cleaned windows and mirrors with it, and it still stays strong. I have used it for its intended purpose as well, and suffice it to say it does an amazing job at what it is intended for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying Charmin Ultra Strong toilet tissue. It is not flimsy and thin like some tissue. I also like that it is perforated enough to cleanly tear where you want it to. A lot of tissues tear anywhere BUT on the dotted line! This is one of my pet peeves... :-) This is a great tissue and is my new favorite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review rating is strictly based on the quality of the paper, I'll expand on this particular package more a little later. It's strong enough to use only 2 squares in a pinch, while 3 squares is as strong and comfortable as 4 or 5 of any other quality brand. But even more importantly it's low linting unlike most other "soft" toilet papers. I am on public sewers so I don't worry at all about the extra bulk of the tissues, if you're on septic these are rated as safe, but of course safe and ideal may be two different things... I will say you can use less than other thinner brands so it should be a wash. As for the Double (2x) Roll vs Regular (1x), vs Big Roll (1.5x) vs Mega Roll (4x)... I'm split between this and the Mega roll as the best size to get. On one hand I hate changing rolls out all the time (which is why I don't buy the smaller sizes), but the Mega roll makes it too easy to take more paper than you need when you first put the roll on. So this is probably the best compromise but I'd like to see a 2.5x or 3x size roll. So for the length of the roll I would rate this pack as 4 and a half stars. As for marketing games and the possibly narrower size. I think everyone is right that it is narrower. I TP used to store very tightly when stack on top of each other on the shelf and now there's a little extra room. For me it's a non-issue as I don't rely on that dimension enough to notice, and it's a little easier for me to store... But I could see how it could concern some people, unfortunately there isn't a better alternative. As for a decrease in softness, again it's not one that I could notice and still better than the alternatives (since I find ultra soft tissues too linty or weak).

Ok, what happened? I have been buying Charmin for yrs. All of a sudden it's thinner & the roll isn't as long. I have Charmin Ultra Strong (UPC 3700089347. There is a 0 at the left end, before the 3; there is a 9 at the right end, after the 7). It is not as soft as it always has been & the appearance is different. What's happening?

There is the typical softness that you are used to with Charmin with a strong quality mixed in with it. Just not used to toilet paper having this good of a combination. Certainly better than the toilet paper I am using now and may become a household staple from here on out. Thanks Charmin for making a great new toilet paper that my whole family loves!

I currently go to a community college where they get the cheapest toilet paper possible. So when I started using Charmin ultra strong it was a huge upgrade. I started to pull about two feet of the roll then realized that would be way to much. the best part was it didn't feel like the sandpaper they call toilet paper at my school.
