[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy store brand or what's on the cheaper end, and so when I compare all of those brands versus the Charmin Ultra, without a doubt Charmin wins the review. Overall, the texture was softer and thicker than the other ones. On the other hand, the Charmin Ultra rolls lost in the scent. I personally think scented TP is important, and Charmin lacked in this area. Ultimately, Charmin Ultra was the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give this new TP an average rating because it does live up to the hype of being stronger, however, it seems to be a bit courser than the other types of Charmin toilet papers. I'm not saying it's like sand paper but you can notice a difference. In fact, everyone in the house noticed a different, including my father-in-law when he used it. I guess he prefers a more pillow-y style of TP too. We were pleased to try the new Charmin type but we'll stick to the others instead because they're strong enough. One positive note is that you could clean up simple spills with it if you don't have paper towels on hand.

It is thick enough that you don't need quite as much paper compared to other brands. Admittedly I haven't previously spent a lot of time comparing toilet papers and boy I've been missing out. A quality "tp" really is one of life's little things that can make a difference!

When I first took a roll out of the package I was amazed as to the size of it, I compared it to my regular toilet paper I had here, even showed my son the difference, the size of Charmin was so much bigger and more economical. It's a perfect size, you use less rolls, one roll lasted us almost 4 days, imagine that, I have never had a toilet paper last that long on a roll, it's safe for your sewer, soft, no scratchiness, and it's durable. I have already recommended this toilet paper to others and will continue to and I have found my new toilet paper, there's no going back now, this Charmin Ultra Strong is perfect, it left me feeling clean and dry after each use. This toilet paper is so soft on your bottom, you won't want to use anything else again. This toilet paper is much thicker and softer than what I normally use. It's soft enough to wipe a baby's bottom!

But I've been more of a Charmin Basic buyer over the last year or so thanks to my daughters using way too much and clogging the toilet. This way it doesn't cost as much. I put the ultra strong in their bathroom and the usage has gone down. So maybe there is something to the saying Quality over Quantity. It's been love since first wipe!

Bad, you have to use 50 sheets just to make sure you're not going to have to sterilize your hands and it leaves you feeling like you used sandpaper on your backside. Good is well...Charmin. Soft, strong, practically perfect in every way. Charmin also presents a great value. It doesn't matter that the bad brands give you 10 times more sheets per roll when you are using that many more sheets per "transaction." Charmin definitely got it right on this one.
