I bought this Vitamix a month ago and sent it back for a refund. I had a PRO 750 that I sold to buy the new model and I am sick to my stomach I did. This blender looks and feels incredibly cheap, it's lightweight, made mostly of plastic, and I hate the new lid, especially how ingredients kick back up into the lid when blending which never happened with any of the rubber lids from my other 4 Vitamix blender I've owned over the last 4 years. Now, I'm waiting for my refund to go back into my account so I can purchase a new PRO 750 again (stainless steel model). Seriously disappointed with this new Ascent. By the way, speaking of the new self-detect technology, I hate it. I don't like having to depend on the blender to "read" the container. I'd rather just pop the blender on, blend and go. The new lid also looks incredibly cheap versus the old rubber container, as do the knobs on the new Ascent. I can't believe Vitamix would "degrade" their new models with cheap plastic, especially around the base. I thought I was getting an upgrade and have never been so disappointed in my life. Can't wait to get my new PRO 750 to have the best Vitamix option back in my opinion!

I bought my Vitamix 10 months ago and after multiple issues with overheating, not blending even simple recipes it has completely stopped working. I don't blend heavy or difficult things, smoothies, hummus, plant milk mainly, but nevertheless, this machine couldn't handle it. Also, I reached out to customer service and support for a week before giving up and finally calling directly. Very poor experience all around. This is my second bad experience with Vitamix - my previous model wasn't much better than a Ninja or basic blender either - but I thought it might be a lemon. Either I've had two lemons, or this is just not worth the hype.

For years I struggled with various blenders to make a basic smoothie. The motor and blades just couldn't handle a few frozen chunks of banana or pineapple. Even blending for oat flour seemed to challenge my blenders to do it well. After years at the top of my Wish List, reading the reviews, taking the 'Which Vitamix is right for you quiz?', and talking to the customer service people, we finally decided to invest. This machine does not disappoint, well, except for one HUGE (to our family) drawback. It is so so so frustrating to make nut butters. I was told this machine could do it and do it well. The process to get a close to smooth almond butter is off the charts frustrating. My spouse is wondering why we spent so much money for smoothies.......

I bought this vitamix about 18 years ago. I am still using it but it feels like it is giving up the ghost. We have loved it and used it for many different things. We have a daughter who was vegan. My family made the best hummus in the world (I guarantee it!) however I need a new blender and am not sure which model to buy. The kids have gone and we are making homemade dog food to keep our dog alive. My husband is using it now for that and for smoothies in the morning to keep my 94 year old mother who is living with us healthy! The only reason he is using it now is I have taped the fast and furious blender button. My husband used to use it for smoothies and never put the lid on. I cleaned a lot of ceilings and cupboards thanks to him and had to tape that button off because it was so strong. I want th esame blender again. Is it possible? It is VM0103 and is the super vitamix. What model would it compare to now. I want another one and should buy today on Black Friday if they have it for sale in Canada. Thank you vitamix!!!!

We use our Vitamix most days, sometimes multiple times for a meal. It works amazingly well. We use it most often for smoothies and salsas. We have always used our blender a lot, so we have tried a variety of them, from very inexpensive to expensive. This is the best one we’ve ever had.

In love with this VITAMIX. The A series is certainly an investment but it makes sense if VITAMIX is committing to this series. I have a lot more experimenting to do but so far I’ve made the smoothest smoothies I’ve ever had in my life, and the creamiest pesto. But it doesn’t just blend. I made salsa that was perfectly minced with minimal prep, and used it to make leftover turkey frittata muffins. It chopped the leftover turkey chunks AND the kale to perfect pieces with also minimal prep. I did read reviews of others struggling to get the textures right with their recipes, so my advice is to reference the VITAMIX cookbook for recipes similar to the ones you want to try to get an idea of what order to put in the infredients and whether to blend or pulse. I did have trouble with the pizza dough recipe from the book. The container moved a lot at I got an E31 error message. Thought it was broken but it’s actually a safety feature that prevents the machine from running if the container isn’t sitting just right on the pegs. Readjusting the container cleared the message and we’ve ate living happily after ever after!

I've owned this blender over a year and use it for everything from smoothies to soups, nut butters, and oat milk. I still prefer a food processor for nice cream but I love having a blender strong enough to handle thick smoothies with lots of ingredients!

I bought the Vitamix A2500 in Black and I am so glad I did! After a year+ of debating and researching reviews and on and on and on... I decided to just go ahead and spend the money. Now, I don't have the kind of money where I can just go out buying expensive things, so this was a pretty big investment for me. I had high expectations of this product, but this machine is literally everything I wanted and MORE!!! Being vegan, I use this bad boy AT LEAST twice a day, no joke. A smoothie in the morning and Nana Ice Cream at night. The sound is loud during some blends but it's not ridiculous or anything. It sounds like any other blender. The cleaning process is crazy fast. Easier than even the NutriBullet is to clean. I can't compare it to any other Vitamix because this is my first one, but this design is so sharp and I haven't had one clumpy smoothie or ice-cream bowl. It fits perfectly under my cupboards on my counter top. I don't know how I was living without it, seriously. It's a great investment. Thank you.

I absolutely love that I finally spent the money on this product. Load the ingredients just as the instructions in the 'Start Here' pamphlet states and blend as directed and your smoothies will be perfect. I used to have chunky smoothies from leafy greens from my old blender but my Vitamix really gets the job done. I even find myself making more green smoothies because I enjoy them so much more making them in my Vitamix

Pros: Powerful, muscular machine. Sleek, modern look without looking “space age” or flashy. Voluminous blender cup is great for batch prep / cooking. Latch on top prevents splashing. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Tamping wand is awesome for blending thicker concoctions. Easy to adjust blending power based on your needs. Three timed blending modes allow you to walk away from the blender (great if you’re a kitchen multi-tasker like me!). Hot soup mode is amazing. It only takes 6 minutes to blend/heat raw ingredients for the perfect hot soup. Pulse mode is perfect for quick salsas and the like. Creates the smoothest texture for smoothies / ice cream / soups I’ve ever had from a blender (it’s like silk). Hard-bound recipe book included in the package is gorgeous, inspiring and utilitarian. Vitamix really went above and beyond with it! User-friendly buttons make the experience all-ages appropriate. Can also make nut butters, grind grains into flour and mix dough! Cons: Takes up a good deal of counter space. The larger blender cup doesn’t handle small amounts of ingredients well (e.g doesn’t effectively grind a small amount of flax seed). The smaller blender cups — which you have to buy seperately — would handle small amounts very well, I’m sure. Overall: This is an incredibly versatile, user friendly machine perfect for all ages and all levels of kitchen experience. I use my blender multiple times a day, for many different purposes — from grinding my own flours to making nut butter, spreads, mixing doughs, making smoothies, ice cream, soups. You name it, I use my blender for it. I find this blender versatile enough that I may not ever break out my food processor again (which I use mostly for blending cookie doughs, batch prep, making date paste and cake batter).
