I purchased one recently. I was a bit hesitant to use it the first time. Didn't want to spend time "learning the ropes" and "reading tedious instructions." Turns out, it's quite "user-friendly" and in moments I was happily using it, and correctly, might I add.

This food saver is a little challenging to use compared to the last Food Saver I had. It takes tow hands and is awkward to get the bag positioned correctly to seal. Would prefer a flat design. I would not buy this model again. The price was good but needs a little tweaking in design.

Upgraded from VAC500 to the FM5460 takes less room and works slick. Great investment and a quality piece of equipment. This product should be in every home. It save money and is simple to use. No more waste and leftovers that go bad. I highly recommend this necessary tool for the home.

Our new FoodSaver we bought is easier to use than our old one that we had for along time. We buy fresh cut meat at our local butcher shop and cook homemade meals so we don't have to buy the frozen dinner meals. We are eating healthier meals by using the FoodSaver and saving money at the same time. Thank You FoodSaver !!

I love my new food saver !! This is number 3 or 4 for me over they years. A few years I got a new one just so I could hand the one i was using down to my daughter-in-law. Gave my daughter one for her birthday a while back as well. I have used my food savers for wild game, garden veggies, good buys at the market and left overs. Just can't do without in now.

It’s even better than our last one. We use this all the time. I have no idea how much money we have saved by breaking down large packages of food into smaller portions and freezing it. There is only the two of us these days and many times we buy a larger amount of an item to get a better price but it’s so easy to let that expire or go bad. Anyway I can’t recommend it enough.

I bought this FoodSaver FM5460 2-in-1 Food Preservation System for my niece and her newly wedded husband recently and they used it the same day it was delivered and have had a ball with it. I had told her she could even put her jewelry in the bags and store them in their freezer. They have really enjoyed it and have been recommending it to their friends in Birmingham, Alabama. My Foodsaver is 13 years old and still going strong and I can't say enough great things about it. My husband loved it the first time he used it and tells all his friends at work about the great results we've had with no freezer burned items to throw away in the freezers. The waste is non-existant now and we tell all of our friends about Food Saver Systems now.

I have never used any other food vacuum sealer, but I think this one offers interesting options, like sealing mason jars, and being able to marinate food faster. I have used it several time already and it does a good job overall. What I do not like is that this machine is VERY noisy. We also have to insert the bag too high and waste some of that precious plastic that we do not want to see in the ocean next season. It is not so easy to handle because you need both hands to press the bar to start the vacuum process. Other than that, the food is sealed well, it is simple to use, and seems to be of good quality.

Received this as a birthday gift from my wonderful brother. Absolutely love it. Using it to vacuum seal lettuce and other veggies in 1/2gallon mason jars. It's been two weeks, lettuce is still green and fresh. AMAZING! Leave FoodSaver on my countertop and using it daily with zipper vacuum seal/reseal bags to store cheese, lunch meat, etc. Have vacuum sealed and frozen, sausage, bacon, and chicken, I can see where food willl stay fresh longer and save us money. Love it and would recommend it for any size family.
