This speaker also requires 120V power for operation at all time, not a rechargeable/portable device. I was planning on using be the pool and in garage, which it will still work, just large and heavy. The good thing is that I think I will be able to get the volume I was looking for, and the speaker seems very well priced. My rating is probably unfairly low because I am surprised by size and requirement for 120 power at all times for operation, no rechargeable cordless function.
