It provides reverse polarity protection to help those who may put the jumper cables on the wrong terminals. There is also an option to check if the alternator is good or not, which is very helpful for troubleshooting. The air compressor inflates tires without issue and allows you to set a desired PSI and it will automatically stop after it reaches that. I found that it inflated them quickly. With all the functions it is still compact in size and relatively light, so it fit easily in my trunk.
