Purchased a little over three months ago, and now it is leaking internally from the K cup water reservoir feed. This morning, I found that it leaked about 4 ounces of water overnight onto our coffee cart and kitchen floor. Otherwise, it's been a good coffeemaker that serves the single-serve/full pot-o'-mud coffee needs of our household. Going back to Sam's Club to exchange for another one that hopefully does not leak.

The coffeemaker makes wonderful coffee! A little complicated at first to set it up to automatically come on in the am, but once you learn it, it’s easy! I had to clean K-Cup side soon after using, but believe it was the cups making it leak. Once I figured that out, it was fine. Love it!!!

The coffee maker is very nice and has the ability to make pods and to make single full pot of coffee as well. The operations buttons are little complicated. The pot lid is not connected, and if you put the pot on without snapping the lid in place you have a huge mess inside the coffee pot and out. Coffee pot with lids. Attached are much better.

I bought the SS-16 to replace a 5 year old SS-15 model. This unit has improved upon some of the negative features of the older model. Here are the improvements: 1. Older model would splash all over counter when brewing single serve unless you used a tall travel mug. This model has a flip shelf so that you can use shorter mugs without making a mess or having to hold the cup close to the dispenser while brewing. 2. This model has the single serve and regular brew sides reversed. This allows you to pour water into the regular brew side much easier since the larger reservoir opening is on the right side of the machine. On the older model, the larger opening was just to the left of the single serve side(middle of the machine) making it difficult to pour the water in the reservoir. 3. The needle which punctures the k-cup is cone shaped on the newer model with the water opening toward the back of the needle. On the older model, the needle was a small metal cylinder with a hole in the center. The older model would sometimes split the k-cup and cause the grinds to back up in the unit and make a mess. Hopefully, the design of the newer model has fixed that problem. To date, I have not had a k-cup explosion. This remains to be seen. 4. The warmer plate on the old machine started to rust. I believe this was due to the fact that the carafe would get water between the glass and the top plastic band and this water would slowly drip down the side of the carafe and puddle on the warmer plate. Because the warmer plate was constantly wet, I believe this caused the plate to rust. On the SS-16, I don’t have any water getting between the glass carafe and the top plastic band and dripping down the side. I also don’t plan on washing the carafe in the dishwasher as I don’t know if this could be what caused the older one to leak. I’ve used this pot for over a month. Overall, I like the fact that I can brew a regular pot of coffee or make a single cup using one machine. I like the fact that I am not forced to make a specific number of cups of coffee on the regular brew side. Many combo machines retain water in an internal reservoir and force the user to make a specified number of cups. This machine does not retain any water after brewing. On the regular serve side, you brew as much coffee as there is water in the reservoir. On the single serve side, the water reservoir is removable, so it can be emptied when not in use. Most Keurig machines retain water in an internal reservoir which seems like it can be a breeding ground for mold due to the stagnant water in the machine. I like that this machine does not do that. I make a full pot of coffee almost every day, and if not, I’ll have a few k-cups instead. I hope I can get 5 years of daily usage out of this machine.

It not only makes a good pot of coffee, but also is very convenient when you need only one cup of java - single cup from coffee pods. This replaced my old Cusinart with a metal thermal carafe. I use my old thermal carafe on my new Cusinart, and it fits!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this because our last one died on us. This one is nice, but we have a few items we think could be improved. The water fill is in the back left corner and hard to reach for my wife who is 5’ 6” tall. She an average height female, but on our counter it is hard to reach the water storage area for single cup coffee. We also find it annoying that in order to fill my travel mug, I have to do two brews, one for 8 ounces and one for 6 ounces to fill my travel mug. The give you like 4 different fill sizes but 14 ounces isn’t one of them. Another nuisance is to fill my 14 ounce travel mug, I have to remove the two piece bottom cup stand in order to slide my travel mug under the k-cup dispenser, which is annoying. The little fold down shelf for a normal cup is great. We like the carafe brewing features that this coffee maker offers. We also like the looks of this machine. We do. Like it, just need to get used to dealing with some work-arounds.

This coffee maker meets all our needs. My husband likes his coffee pods and I like my pot of coffee. This maker give us both options. I like that it has separate water reservoirs so I can make a small pot of coffee. It's very stylish. I also really like that the coffeemaker can be set to auto brew. I love waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffeemaker is the new version of my old one which I had for many years. They don’t make my older version anymore. It has basically everything the old model had so I had no problem setting it up. The only issue I have with this model is switching from the carafe to the single cup. I like to program the coffee maker in the morning after cleaning the pot to make the next days coffee. The old coffeemaker had dedicated buttons for the single cup option. In other words I could leave the carafe on auto and still brew a cup without interfering the auto feature. With this one you must set the dial from auto on to brew and push the cup button. After you finish brewing your cup you have to remember to put the dial back to auto on and push the carafe button. If you don’t you will come down in the morning with no coffee made. Otherwise I am happy with it

I purchased this coffee maker due to the longevity of my previous one (7 yrs). Easy to maintain, displays nicely on counter and every cup whether cup or carafe is well brewed. Previous coffee makers, different brand and very pricey, did not last and coffee varied in dispense and flavor. Very happy with my now second purchase
