Renee, we know how important to ensure your dishes are thoroughly cleaned, and are sorry Cascade left an aftertaste on your dishes. We wouldn't expect Cascade to impart the of the product taste into food. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors.
