good coffee maker

I purchased this about a month. Ago. Everytime I use a POD they explode on the POD side so of course the coffee is not strong at all. the carafe side is fine. I had purchase the Hamilton Beach flex brew and after awhile the Pods did the same thing.

Would not recommend

I've have used (2) Cuisinart coffee centers for the past 12 years and really liked them. Recently I had to replace my current one. I bought the SS-16 BLK model, when I went to setup according to the instructions, the POD side did not work. Returned It for the exact same model, same problem. Totally dead! Really disappointed. Now I have to deal with the hassle of returning the second one. Will not purchase a Cuisinart again.

Doesn’t last

I would not recommend this product. I first bought it in October of 2024. In June of 2025, it quit working. Would come on but would not brew a pot of coffee. The company replaced it and sent me a new machine in June of 2025. Now in November of 2025, the new machine is doing the exact thing. Will not brew a pot of coffee. Just continues to blink like it’s beginning to brew. Have done every troubleshooting that is recommended.

Bad purchase

This coffee maker has been horrible, not working having to push a little button inside 7 times trying to reset to make it work since about 6 months after we got it, now says e-07 and won’t work at all unless you unplug it and maybe it will maybe it won’t

Single serve won’t work

I’ve owned mine for less than a year. First my pods would burst, no matter the brand. We learned to close the lid very slowly and still every 3 or 4 pods, 1 will burst. Then yesterday the single serve just won’t brew, just stopped. I’ve tried everything.

I received this as a gift. I don't know if I got a lemon or all of them have the same problem. I read the instructions over several times, and to no avail. I tried the one cup maker and it literally exploded the coffee pod plus when I opened the lid coffee went all over my counter plus me. It's dangerous! Luckily I only had a minor burn on my finger. Also, it makes very loud sounds. The 12 cup coffee maker works, but is very noisy. If this is an issue with all SS-16 Series it's a problem that needs addressing immediately.

design flaw or malfunction causes a big mess

Cuisinart 2 in 1 Coffee pot The good - The warmer for the pot works fine The bad - Both sides, the pods and the pot side are very slow compared to competitors machines. The pod side doesn't hold much water, competitors hold more. The pod side doesn't make coffee as hot as competitors, I have to microwave every cup. The worst part- Approx. twice a week, the pods wont drain fast enough. This blows the seal and top off the pods and causes a coffee ground filled waterfall down the front of the machine, a giant mess! I have had a little success with inserting the pod, then removing it and turning it to reload, putting multiple holes in the bottom of the pod. This helps a little. Obviously, something isn't right with the needle at the bottom of the pod holder. I see no damage, this may be the design. I cannot recommend this machine unless maybe you get it on clearance or if you have lots of time on your hands and only use the pot side.

Disappointed

We have used for about 1 week and not experienced the leaking or other issues noted in other reviews. However, this is my 4th Cuisinart coffee maker and this machine does not make the coffee as bold as my previous models, nor does the coffee temp brew as hot as my others. The coffee temp is set on High and it comes out warm enough to drink but cools off quickly even in a stainless steel cup. I am returning it.

Stopped working after 3 months.

I purchased mine 3 months ago. For the limited amount of time it has worked, I really enjoyed it. However, it just stopped working yesterday. Now, I design electronic equipment for a living and things today just are not built like they used to be. If you get a few years of service, well that is all it is designed to do, but come on, 3 months. Really poor engineering and lack of life testing.

Read all reviews before purchasing

I had this model replaced at least 4 times. Each time it was something different. One issue was the heating element another was it just stopped brewing. Previous to buying this I had a different coffee maker brand which lasted me over a decade( almost 20 years). I bought this because I have other cuisinart products that are quality products- but this machine is not.
