I received this for Christmas. I must have been bad this year. The kettle is heavy. If you tip the full kettle too far, hot water will leak from the top because the lid does not fit snugly. It's very slow - it takes a couple of minutes to heat eight ounces of water. You're limited in the volume of water you can heat, too, because the kettle won't heat less than eight ounces. I wish the gifter had saved his money.

A very ... butch ... design. This is a man's man gooseneck kettle. I'm not really sure what about its shape and design say this, but they do. Maybe it's just that it's very blocky and sharp curves and straight sides. Even the gooseneck is more of an L-neck than an S-neck with two sharp 90 degree angles. It does pour very well though. I'm not really a fan of the +/- 5 degree °F, as that's a LARGE window of error on water temperature for my application. I also prefer °C not °F, and there's no way to display in °C. Which is weird.

It is stylish, but I love that you can adjust the temperature

Not sure the extra 20 seconds of pouring does much for the tea.

Aesthetically pleasing, functional, easy to use, and much more affordable than other brands.

Fast and accurate.

I bought this several weeks ago and am very pleased. Our old hot water kettle had a crack in the plastic window and we were afraid it would fail. Plus we are trying to reduce our exposure to plastics and this was the highest rated kettle in Wirecutter that did not contain plastic. So we went for it. It heats up the water very quickly and another thing I love is that you can set the temperature based on what you are brewing. We used to just use boiling water for everything, but I’ve discovered that using water at temperatures specific for coffee and different types of tea really does bring out the flavor. And the gooseneck allows you to control the water flow much better. It also holds your temperature for a half hour, making refills easier. My wife wishes it held a little more water than it does, but I’m very pleased with 1 liter.

Pretty perfect. Don't like the steam valve on the lid - even though it has arrows to line up, I often forget. Have to hold the on button down for some time to get it going - helpful for safety I suppose but not needed in our household. Dislike that the button is lit red 24/7. Looks nice on the counter. Easy to use for pour overs and other detailed pours. I appreciate the temperature options being preset and the guide on what to use for coffee and different teas. Replaced a Brewista I loved that went belly up after a year and was outside the warranty period.

Great kettle-a nice design on the countertop, easy-to-use interface. The kettle heats up relatively quickly, though I do find that the kettle does not shut off on it's own after it reaches temperature, but continues to reheat. If I go to boil water and then walk away, it will essentially keep boiling forever. Perhaps there is a way to override this, but it might be my only criticism.
