The Godshall's Angus Steak Bacon is a good substitute for a typical pork bacon. The bacon is flavorful and has a nice smoky hint to it. I liked that it is made with US raised beef and is gluten free. I found the flavor to have a rich smokey taste that paired well with baked potatoes, this product was very convenient to cook, and I like the fact there are no nitrates but plenty of protein. Godshall's beef bacon looked appealing in the package, which I selected after sampling turkey bacon at Sam's Club. When I opened the package, the smell reminded me of pastrami. I cooked it two ways, using both a cast iron griddle and an air fryer. It shrunk on the griddle like bacon. If you cook it well, it tastes like bacon, with a salty flavor. Before it's totally crisp, it has a good, beefy flavor. it does not shrunk as much on the air fryer, and yields great flavor, retaining a beef not while also having a lean bacon taste. it's bacon for a beef lover, with half the fat of pork bacon and a better taste than turkey bacon.
