Great Bacon! Great price for the amount of bacon you get. Godshall's Uncured Turkey bacon is also great.

I wouldn't call it bacon but it is good. Has a taste and texture of beef jerky.

I really wonder if some of the bad reviews were buying Godshall's other beef bacon "product" (who's old enough to remember Sizzlean?). Either that or they're just diehard porkers. You really can't beat beef bacon, and you really REALLY cant beat Angus beef bacon. Is it a bit fatty? Yes, but who doesn't like a little bacon grease to cook your eggs and vegetables with? I'm also thankful for the balance of pricing and sizing of this product. The other warehouse store wants to sell you a whole 5lb pack, and grocery stores usually sell you around half a pound (or less) for $10. This is a nice filling breakfast for those of us that want GOOD bacon but cant handle pork. Save that turkey bacon for hotel buffets, and enjoy this instead.

I purchased this steak bacon on my recent trip to Sam's. This bacon is amazing!!!!! Please Sam's keep this bacon. I want more! :)

Godshall's Uncured beef bacon today at Sam's today and was pleasantly surprised to find it. I have tried various other bacons, looking for a good substitute for pork. I would always prefer beef to pork in general so I was excited to try it. First thought was that it is not as sturdy as it looked and ripped easy. I made the mistake of not opening the package all the way out since I just wanted enough for a sandwich. I suggest opening it all the way and peel slices gently. I made a second mistake of trying to make it in the microwave oven without checking on it. I set it for 3 1/2 min and let's just say I overcooked it. I was probably done in half that. It tasted good, but I realized the only real way to make bacon is fried and so armed with experience I made more. You can never have too much bacon, right? This time it held its shape well and fried up quick. It was not as messy to prepare as our usual bacon which splatters all over the stove. Texture wise it was a bit variegated, not layers of fat and meat, but it was not as homogeneous as say a turkey or veggie bacon, and it did have little fat bits. It is not pork bacon so if you are eating the strips on their own you can tell, but it had the salty bite satisfaction of a bacon. For me it's all about the salt. It would be great in a sandwich or breakfast. If I chose to cut pork bacon out of my diet, I wouldn't mind this as a replacement and would buy it again. This is overall good. It is very lean. No fat on the meat. It needs to be cooked a longer to get crispy

I'm We are definitely bacon people and I Loved that it had so much protein. But I'm not a fan of the taste or the texture. It reminded me of a combination of a Slim jim and spam. I could not even get my husband and 20 year old son to eat it and they eat anything meat related!
