I purchased the 16x12 Beaumont last fall but had to hold on to it for a month before I could have it put up. I was expecting it to take a while to actually get it and I was going to have the patio decked first. It came in a week!! And it smelled GREAT!! I'd go out every few days to smell the boxes haha I love cedar smell. It may have taken a bit longer to put it up than normal because I wanted it attached to my house so we cut the corbels off of one side. Other than that it went up with no problems and I LOVE it!! The birds love it too. They are always hopping around on it which keeps the cats occupied.

Our pergola, which covers a portion of our patio, has added a beautiful look to the backyard space (of 5 acres), and has won oooh's and awww's from friends and neighbors. Each piece is finely crafted, and the installation was so easy to arrange and have done. The pergola provides a bit of cover from the sun, and enchanting ambiance both in the daytime and at night. We are very glad we made the investment to our outdoor space. It's given us another "room" off the dining/kitchen area. And...it's a great backdrop for parties and get-togethers.

We have been waiting for years to create a patio space and this pergola is everything we could have hoped for! We absolutely love the aesthetic; it was straightforward to assemble; and it fit within our budget! We wanted one that could withstand high winds. After doing lots of research I decided to go with the 14x13 Beaumont pergola from BackYard Discovery. Boy amI happy I did! Delivery was pretty quick, kept me informed at each step, and the three cartons arrived in pristine condition. It was real easy to then transfer the pieces from the front of my house to the back patio and sort them into their clearly marked designation. Assembly instructions were very clear. It took my wife and myself about 5 hours in total to assemble the whole thing! No real heavy lifting except at the point the ends get “stood up” but even that was well within our capability to manage. End result is beautiful and the envy of the neighborhood! Added some lights and furniture and voila we have our backyard oasis complete!

We have been looking for a pergola big enough for a large sitting area and dining table and finally found this one. I love that it is wind tested too as our backyard can get wind gusts and I know this pergola is quality and will withstand the elements.

I finally bought this pergola and my husband and sons put it together and it looked beautiful.... for a while. I put a green metal roof on mine because it sits around trees. Still beautiful, but the woodpeckers LOVE this wood. I have holes everywhere even with a fake owl and a wind chime. Then one fall day, a tree branch came down and smashed one side. My husband says he can repair it. I had ceramic tile and lights under the top and loved its look. Hope it can be rehabbed. Good purchase if found on a deal. Woodpeckers will destroy it.

I've had the pergola built for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Its sturdy and heavy but also easy-ish to put together. Realistically you should have at least two people building one pergola. I would budget about 5 hours with two people to put it together completely. Overall great pergola, very happy with the purchase!

I purchased and installed Beaumont Cedar Pergola on my backyard deck. The pergola has added a whole new dimension to the deck and its usefulness. The cedar wood was high quality and smells great. The instructions were straight forward and pergola pieces marked which really helped during installation. Thanks for putting together a great product and a price that's very affordable. Took my wife and I about 4 hours. Instructions are easy to follow. I was truly impressed with the way it went together. All the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. It looks great too. I can’t express how well “machined” all of the parts were. Sometimes, assemblies can be frustrating. Not this one. It was actually enjoyable, to some degree. We are happy with it. Hopefully, it holds up through the seasons.

I bought this pergola direct from Backyard Discoveries and the pergola itself is fantastic. Fairly easy to assemble, my 19 yo daughter did most of it. I read a lot of the reviews that said the holes did not line up or that the hardware was junk. I did not find that to be the case at all. In fact I don't think you can build this for the price you get it for here. The hardware is not stainless, however it is powder coated and I did not have any problem stripping anything. It is very adequate and not cheap. The wood itself is Chinese ceder, It's not western red but for the price point It was fairly straight, and any minor twists are easily worked out as you build. I pre stained the wood with Olympic stain and seal #716. It was almost a perfect match. The pergola assembled looks fantastic!! My reason for only 4 stars is the use of YRC freight to ship this product. I know this is not directly related to the pergola or Backyard Discovery but please find a better company to work with. They were awful. They never called to let me know our appointment was not gonna happen and I lost a day of work. The shipment arrive 10 days later than our original appointment.
