A drill is needed and it comes with all other needed tools and drill bits. Extra screws and nuts etc. come too! I’ve recommended this style and company to my neighbors and family. It’s such a beautiful and very sturdy piece. If you’re on the fence… JUST BUY IT! It will not disappoint!

Great addition, with a few nit picks: The cord for the power strip was too short. The roof trim is easily “tweaked”, making it hard to lay flat. A few of the barrel nuts had threads that needed cleaned up. The finish is much darker than I expected, but it works on my deck. Overall very pleased and happy to get my grill out of the Western Washington weather!

This is a quality product with all included hardware. I deviated from some chronological assembly steps for a few reasons. 1. I bolted the four posts to the concrete before attaching the roof because I did not want a gust of wind to blow it over. 2. I assembled the roof truss framing and installed it before adding sheetmetal. It was easier to lift into place and secure first. I then installed the sheetmetal. The directions called for the perimeter roof trim to be placed 360° on top of the sheetmetal ribs. The problem is that the design does not take into consideration the need for a rear drip edge. I did not want water to flow under the trim and down the wood. I, therefore, placed the tear trim under the ribs. Water will now be directed 1/2 inch away from the wood and will then drop straight down. It will also alleviate pine needles from getting trapped under the trim.

I wasn't sure if it would be too big for our relatively small yard, but it has changed the whole look of our backyard. We used to have the grill pressed up against the house, but we actually moved it out into the middle of the patio with the gazebo over it, hung some lights, and have the table a bit further out... and it looks like the back of a restaurant now. I thought it was neat but I actually really didn't expect it to so dramatically change the look of our yard. People comment on it every time they come over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in late spring in preparation for our annual Pig Roast to cover our cinder block pig spit. While it took us 2 days to put together, and we needed the help of a couple strapping neighbors to get the roof on, the quality of the build is EXCELLENT!!! SOLID construction, so no worries about wind or snow piling on the roof. It even has it's own cord block so we added an LED light string around the perimeter! We love it so much we are thinking about getting a bigger gazebo for our porch next season!!!

Extremely impressed with this product and the company. I was leery about buying a kit, but this thing was impressive. Instructions were actually clear, parts and hardware very clearly labeled, extra hardware was provided (I double checked to make sure 😅), appropriate bits that were needed were provided and the Bilt 3-D app was helpful in some spots too. Pay attention to the instructions and you’ll have no issues. Highly recommend this product or anything from Backyard Discovery! Officially a customer for life at this point!

We just put our new Gazebo up. We waterproofed the wood which should help it long term. So far i love the way it looks and fits perfect where we put it. The instructions were easy to follow and went together just about how long they tell you about 4 hours by the time you sort and look through all the parts.

The assembly company offered on the website does not have any PNW crews so I had to hire my own. I had 4 guys on the first day and 2 guys for an additional 3 days, working full 8-9 hour days. They were carpenters who did excellent work, it just took a really long time. The finished carport looks outstanding.
