Michelin LTX M/S2

I prefer Michelin tires and have always replaced lesser tires with Michelin when the time came. Love the tires on my truck now...ride is smooth and feels like a new truck - no joke. However, Michelin through me a loop when I tried to find tires. Using the Tire Finder on Michelin's website indicated no tires were available for my truck. I then went to a dealer website to determine my options when the above tire popped as a match. I went back to the Michelin website, found the tire, and confirmed my truck's eligibility. Would encourage Michelin to "fix" their Tire Finder app.

Great tire - great value

I made it to 40,000 miles on the original tires on my Ford F-150, with tires that normally don't go nearly that far. The key was proper balance, air pressure, and rotation (every 5,000 miles). Even though I nearly doubled the average miles on those tires, I knew the tire that would replace the originals would have to do better. I checked some on-line blogs and Consumer Reports. Everything seemed to point to Michelin. I have been a Michelin customer for years, so this was not a hard sell for me. I bought the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires at the end of December, so I'm going on about 9 months of testing. So far, I would absolutely buy them again. They're rugged and ride well and they have the best balance (in my opinion) of roll resistance and rubber compound. Stopping distances are not longer than with the original equipment tires and they take bumps very well. I was concerned about tread life vs. traction, but again, the balance of the mileage expectation and the ability to stop and make it confidently through a curve have not been compromised. Since no tire is impervious to road hazards, I purchased the hazard insurance. The feeling of security with this tire makes me confident in putting my family in this truck knowing I've done all I can to make it as safe as possible. I recommend this brand as well as this particular tire, and I will very likely purchase more in the future. Oh, did I mention my average MPG has gone up two tenths? That may not sound like a lot, but over the life of the vehicle, it adds up. Since I check the mileage with every gas purchase to ensure everything's working as it should, I can tell you, the numbers are accurate.

The best Truck and Large SUV tire

These tires are the best tires money can buy, smooth, quite, and durable. I have these on my Ford Excursion 4x4, the King of all SUV's and they are like driving on one air and handle great in dirt washed roads without throwing pebbles and gravel everywhere. I five star tire.

I would highly recommend these tires

I put these tires on my pick-up two years ago and was so impressed that I replaced the tires on my wife's car with a new set of Michelin tires. Great performance and ride I would recommend these tires to anyone looking to replace the tires on their vehicle.

The LTX M/S2 is a veer ...

The LTX M/S2 is a veer responsive tire. It handles well in various conditions. Living in the mountains can prove challenging as the weather conditions can change at a moments notice. Snow, rain, sleet, mud all in a single day. I would not be caught dead without my Michelin's.

Michelins for Hummer H2T

I put these tires on my Hummer H2T truck over a year ago. I am very pleased so far. Very comfortable ride, better gas milage and great off-road performance from such a nice looking tire. Better than expected traction and control in mud and water (haven't been in much snow yet). No visible wear yet in over a year's service.

Awesome Tires

Have these tires on my Ford Escape XLT, approx 30,000kms so far. Live in B.C. Canada. Lots of rain, slush and snow to test the tires. These tires are great, smooth ride in both wet or dry conditions with lots of grip. Look good too. Light road noise in some areas. Hope they last as long as advertised.

I have a turbo diesel ...

I have a turbo diesel pickup that I run both empty in the city and loaded with a 13,000 lb - dry weight - 5th wheel trailer. In the city, I run it empty and the ride and handeling on streets and freeways is excellent and in emergency stops, it has no slip or loss of control. With the large trailer, it handles precisely in wet or dry conditions and with a very smooth ride. I recently replaced these with a similar Michelin that I had on the truck for over 8 years and about 80,000 miles. The last set had hardly shown wear and I replaced them out of caution only.

Awesome Tires

I owned my Chevrolet Silverado Pickup truck for about 10 years and every set of tires I purchased had a cupping problem. After 10,000 to 15,000 the tires would be very noisy from the way they wore. I tried new shocks and various alignments with no good results. I spent the extra money for Michelin tires and the truck has been riding awesome ever since. No cupping or wear issues. Moral of the story-spend some extra money for a lot better product! Thanks Michelin
