I've tried to use this several times now with the extending wand ... it pulls the vacuum over every time. Base is too small and too light to stay upright. Although it feels like it has great suction, I have to go over the same spot several times to catch all the dog hair. Wouldn't recommend it if you have dogs.

I saw this on sale on the Sam's website at such a good price that I couldn't pass it up and I am so glad I made the purchase. This vacuum is so powerful and so easy to use it put my old (name brand) vacuum to shame. The Rotator XL got up so much dirt that the old one did not that the very first time I used it, I could tell the difference right away. I must have vacuumed everything in the house! I have wood floors throughout but with four rugs, I still needed a vacuum and this one if THE ONE to have.

This vac has lots going for it from the price at less than $150 to the large capacity dirt collector and the variable suction hose that allows the user to "dial" adjust based on need whether vacuuming or using the attachments. The only down side to this machine is that there is no headlight and it has a slightly cheaper quality feel, however for the price those are minor concerns and not worth the trade off of a higher price tag. I am very pleased with my frequent use of this machine over the past three months. BTW the machine also has a two stage power switch (one for suction only and a second for suction with brush roll).

This vacuum is very powerful and easy to use. It has lots of tools for all types of use. I love the fact that it auto adjusts from carpet to tile. The only thing I could say is they should have made the base a little bigger to support the canister better. Can tip over easy when stretching out the arm.

I own a house cleaning service and I have any workers that are independent contractors using the bathroom. They are the best vacuums they have ever used and I use them personally and my own home. I recommend this to everyone! Now that they ordered them anymore people ordered them but they can't get them at the same price that was offered on Cyber Monday which was $99. I hope you have another offer like that this lady is just love them!

We bought this vacuum 6 months ago and are very pleased with it. We have a dog that sheds and this does a great job of picking up the hair. Also like the easy empty filter. The vacuum is light and works well on rugs and also hardwood floors. I also like the light to better see the dirt before it is picked up. The accessories and detail are also very helpful.

I bought this as a Black Friday deal on a whim. I wasn't even looking for a vacuum, but hadn't been happy with the one I had, so after reading the reviews and talking with a family member who also loves her Shark, I purchased it. I have to say I couldn't be happier! I'm not one that likes to clean very much, but this has got me to vacuum places I hadn't in a long time. I love the amount of suction and the length of the hose and can reach almost anywhere. My only complaint, if I had one, would be the width of the head of the vacuum is pretty narrow, but that's probably why it has such good suction. I have a very hairy dog that sheds all over and this does an awesome job of picking up all the hair and even a great job of picking up dirt and hair on hard floors. My last vacuum just blew everything around on hard floors, so this is a nice change. If you're thinking about getting it, just do it, you will love it!

We were new to the Shark but had many recommendations for it. Directions for putting t together were very good. We cleaned a rug that had been cleaned 2 wks ago and were shocked at the nap that came up, cleaned it again and more nap came up. The suction is terrific and change from rug to hardwood easy.

After a month of use in a large carpeted apartment I am delighted to report the Shark pro XL is my new best friend on cleaning day. I do not limit my comments to carpeted areas . It has a two stage switch ,one for bare floors and it works great. The versatile floating head negotiates well around , under and in tight spots. The long cord allows for a huge area of coverage. All tools needed for regular cleaning are " on board" , if for instance you need to extend the wand or use a crevice tool it is readiably available. On low pile carpeted areas it seems almost self propelled .It handles well .Considering my last vacuum was a canister style ,with bag changing required I am thrilled with this bagless model. I am always surprised what this compact , easy to store model picks up . I'm impressed !

It is very nice vacuum. Our other Shark is 15 years old. We loved it but finally they do wear out. The price is was perfect. Quality of performance is excellent. I have only one arm and it was difficult to vacuum but not now. If your looking for a new vacuum I recommend one.
