[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was one of our top two choices after trying dozens of mattresses in multiple stores. Quality, construction, and materials are all excellent. Delivery speed and setup were A+. Unfortunately, within days, we found many problems that make it impossible to get a good, full night's sleep. 1) Poor Temperature Regulation: became too hot within minutes. 2) Lack of Support: Felt our bodies sinking slowly all through the night, due to the memory foam layers not providing consistent support. 3) Lack of Resilience: After just two weeks, found our bodies had left deep impressions that did not return to normal. 4) Lack of comfort: we have woken with pain in our backs, buttocks, hips, shoulders, and legs. 5) Irregular surface: the deep tufting creates an uncomfortably uneven sleep surface. All these problems persist even after several weeks. This is despite this being exact model that was our top choice in the showroom. The delivered mattress feels as if it contains considerably more memory foam than the showroom model, and all the negative characteristics of memory foam (heat retention, lack of support, feeling of being trapped in quicksand) have proven far worse than our worst fears. We have been forced to buy mattress toppers, mattress pads, and new pillows just to be able to sleep through the night -- none of which we expected from such an expense, high-quality, brand-name mattress. So unfortunately we do plan on returning our Estate Tight Tip Soft King mattress for a refund.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the first couple of weeks, I almost regretted our decision to get a firm, pillowtop mattress - it felt so good in the store! No back aches, so that was good at least. After a couple of weeks, we started to settle in and now love it! Very happy with our decision to purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I have been looking forever for a decent mattress. Finally. We have the Estate Firm, and it fits the bill for us. It's obviously solidly built, with no sag on the edges and no movement when one person gets up or lies down. Somehow, the mattress is also comfortable for side sleepers (me) and stomach and back sleepers (my wife). We deliberately didn't get the pillow top, because we have any body indentations, and that's worked for us; no sag or indents anywhere. I keep saying to my wife, in shock, "Wow, finally, something that actually does what it says it will." We love the thing. Great sleep, no body pains. Our corgi likes it pretty well, too.

I had major back surgery in 1999. Bolts, plates, rods… I also have 5 herniated discs in my neck. My docs have been trying for years to help me sleep better and for longer than a few hours at a time. I was down to ONE position of lying only on my right side and waking to a dead shoulder and frequent headaches and backaches. I haven't slept flat on my back since before my back surgery and injury. I DO NOW!!! I'm taking less medication to sleep and sleeping better and longer than I have in YEARS. My son has been recommending this mattress for years and found it on sale with the white glove delivery as I can't move it myself. This is the most amazing mattress I've ever slept on. My only regret is that I waited sooo long.

The Sterns and Foster Mattress I bought is my first and boy did I not know what I was missing sleeping much more comfortable and without my neck and back hurting. I picked the estate tight top medium a little weary that it might be too firm since I prefer a pillow top mattress, I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend this mattress to anyone who has back and neck problems and as for myself a side sleeper. Delivery was also white glove treatment and the two gentlemen whom took my old mattress away were very kind in and out! love it Thanks again! David Nixon

I found ordering from Sterns and Foster's website to be better priced than at the mattress stores. Customer Service was very helpful and delivery took about 2 weeks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been dealing with lower back pain and bought a popular new brand mattress to try and help. After 6 months, still lower back pain. In our spare bedroom I had my older S&F Estate Mattress. I decided to test it and slept on this for 2 weeks to see if it would help. NO PAIN. As a result, I returned the new mattress and replaced with the Estate Firm Pillow Top. I'm about a month in and NO PAIN AT ALL. No hip pain, no lower back pain, I finally wake up without being sore. I will never purchase another brand. The quality just can't be matched.
