Many of the mattresses we tried either seemed like they'd sag in the middle eventually or felt hard as a rock. This mattress had the balance we were looking for as side sleepers. As with any mattress, expect it to be a little on the firmer side until it's broken in. Ours has been steadily softening towards how it felt when we tested it in the store.

This mattress is sooooooooo comfortable, plush but not to soft. We enjoy the firm tight top due to slight back problems. The mattress is a beautiful dark blue in color and it's a little higher (with the box springs) than we're used to. I feel like a Queen laying on top of this mattress and whether I'm sleeping or sitting up relaxing, my back pain hasn't been an issue. I am 80 years old and changed from my other mattress because I wanted one that was more cushiony and a little less firm. This mattress is excellent, actually providing firm support as well as a comfortable cushion feel. I can sleep in any position in complete comfort and good support. I got the medium pillow top Studio with a 9" box spring underneath. It has greatly relieved all my various aches and pains, and is perfect for me. It is a bit pricey but well. worth the expense at my age

Our Stearns & Foster Studio 14" Medium Tight Top King Prime mattress is incredible. We'd had our old mattress for 27 years & didn't know how bad it was. Sleeping on our new mattress is like a whole new day, everyday. Our sleep is soooo much better & we wake up being able to function much better. We added the Stearns & Foster 300 Adjustable base, because my husband has sleep apnea. Using the remote, he's got the head of the bed very slightly elevated & this has made a huge difference in both his sleep apnea & his snoring. We're very happy customers!

The firstKing mattress sagged where each of us slept after 3 months (180# each). Got replacement and this also has sagged and results in uncomfortable sleeping. Feels like sleeping in a hammock. Sterns and Foster will not help as we bought from "Mattress Firm". So I guess they dont care about their reputation or quality of this product. I am extremely unhappy with my $ 3000 purchase.

The mattress feels so luxurious compared to other mattresses I've had in the past. The outer material feels thick and substantial and this mattress is COMFORTABLE! Even though it is not billed as a pillow top mattress, it has the cushy feel of a pillow top. It is very supportive for a medium mattress while still having a cozy feel to it. One thing that was really important to me was the mattress be very breathable. My husband tends to sleep very hot, so the wrong mattress can exacerbate that problem. Luckily this mattress sleeps very cool, and that's from our experience sleeping on it in the middle of July. This mattress is also great for couples as you aren't going to be jostled around when your partner moves. I can't even feel it when my husband rolls over in the night. Overall, we love our new mattress.
