We have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this mattress. There was no adjustment period for us. We did go from a Stearns and foster queen to a Stearns and foster king. The comfort we find with these mattresses are superior to anything we have had before. The king gave us the extra room for us and the queen which is over ten years old has been transferred to the extra bedroom for guests and has held up quite nicely! Feeling like this mattress was made specifically for us!

Awful. We got it to replace a 20 yr old S&F. This mattress is a work of pure evil. Underneath you is some sort of material that resembles a thin wool blanket. It will keep you very hot. I've tried sleeping on it for 3 nights, I got 3hrs one night and 2 x 5hrs before being woken by furnace like temperatures. How much of that was REM God only knows. If you like to control your body temp and 'security' by way of your own blankets, seriously look elsewhere. You'll likely find that you'll need to pitch your blankets off which in turn will leave that part of your body getting gradually colder. Their sales documentation states that the mattress takes heat away from the sleeper, that's a lie and false advertising.

I am a small-framed woman who sleeps on back and side. For the first week, I was worried that I had made a mistake, because I woke up sore. But after this break-in period, the mattress has been a dream. Soft-feeling (but not mushy), supportive, and not hot. My husband is a power lifter (bulky but not heavy) and he also raves about it how comfortable it is.

This is a pretty fantastic mattress, it offers lots of support, you can tell it's very high quality. The mattress I was sleeping on before was only two years old and never offered this type of support, this mattress literally hugs your body and doesn't put extra pressure on your joints. Me and my Beau, both have been sleeping on this mattress and have been sleeping much better and more soundly, my Beau has said his back and legs hurt less since we started using this mattress, it's also much quicker to get comfortable which has resulted in less tossing and turning. I would absolutely buy this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a new mattress, that is not only comfortable but provides support, it's worth every penny. The mattress itself is very luxurious looking, it has a nice blue and a beautiful pattern on the pillow top, you can see how high quality the stitching is and the soft handles make it very easy to move, it is a bit heavy-duty but I think that adds to the fact it's made to last. I recently purchased my very first Stearns & Foster Estate Queen Medium mattress, and topped it off with 2 S&F Lux Estate Queen pillows, and can I say I am sleeping so much better than I have in a very long time. On top of poor sleep, I was experiencing lower back pain, but I haven't had any since sleeping on my new S&F mattress. The quality, workmanship and comfort of the mattress is far better than any I have purchased over the years. I would say Stearns & Foster is the Rolls Royce of mattresses!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for my teen and he loves it. The support it offers is incredible and he no longer has an achy back in the morning. He does a lot of sports and the firm mattress is just what he needed. The mattress height is higher than his last so it took a bit of getting used to (especially for the pups who love sleeping with him), but it actually made a better view to his tv so he was very happy. Overall, a very well made mattress that will last us a very long time.

This mattress retains heat like no other mattress I have ever owned. My husband and I both wake up frequently tossing and turning trying to find a cool spot on the bed. It is almost tolerable in winter, but I am dreading warmer weather. I would have given it 1 star but my husband does like the support for his back. I can't wait to get a new mattress and we've had this one less than two years. It is already getting dips and lumps too. Also it is very heavy which makes it difficult to tuck the sheets under.

This is a horrible mattress. I am writing this at 2 am because I am up again, sore and sleepy because this mattress is so uncomfortable. This is in no way soft. This is a concrete slab with 1/2 inch of padding. Over-priced and just a bad investment. This product changed my lie in that now my life sucks horribly because I cannot sleep and I am always sore. I love that I can at least return this junk mattress. I don't love everything else about it. I was bamboozled and sold a mattress that was not a mattress but a torture device designed to induce pain and deprive sleep. Do not buy this unless you want to torture yourself or someone else. This is a medieval torture device, nothing more. Think the rack but with less comfort.

It's so much more substantial than my old mattress. Definitely high quality. I would recommend to my family and friends!
