[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I unboxed this, it's heavy enough to feel the sturdy, but I can still lift it from the floor up on to the kitchen counter. Preheat time is fantastic, it gets hot in a minute. I love that the two plates can be heated separately so I can use one side (bottom) for some of the cooking. Temperature control is also easy with knob twisting and I think it's safe to quickly adjust the temperature to prevent burning stuffs. I made a fried egg with the flat plate but I wish the power cord could be longer enough to reach the outlet from the dinner table so it could be perfect for a short rib dinner right at the table.

We originally bought this to make waffles but it's way more versatile than we imagined. I love the grill part for chicken, it really tastes like it was cooked on a BBQ with the grill marks! This machine gets very hot so you can cook things high and fast and moisture is retained in the meat. It's perfect for steaks too on the flat side to get the entire piece crispy on the outside but still tender and rare on the inside. You can open the machine to have double the heating surface area if you want to cook up a bunch or vegetables, we enjoy that. This is a beautiful machine and has endless possibilities.

I don’t usually leave reviews on Sam’s, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this grill. The GreenPan griddle has quickly become one of our favorite kitchen appliances! We’ve cooked salmon, chicken strips, waffles, pancakes, and more—and everything has turned out great. The ceramic nonstick surface performs exceptionally well, and cleanup is a breeze with virtually no effort. Best of all, I haven’t needed to use any oil while cooking, which is a huge plus. The only item I’d hesitate to make again is burgers, as the moisture tends to run off and leaves a sticky residue. Aside from that, everything else cooks perfectly. I will stick with my good ol' outdoor grill for burgers. The interchangeable grill and waffle plates are a total game changer. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and is perfect for everything from breakfast to dinner. We love how versatile and compact it is—it’s replaced several other kitchen gadgets for us. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, multi-function grill and griddle!

Heats up fairly quickly on my first test was a typical grilled cheese sandwich, which toasted both side evenly, worried about melted cheese? The plates are extremely easy to take off and clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is amazing! It showed up just in time for my anniversary so we decided to eat in instead of spending money in a restaurant. This grill cooked my steak to perfection! It was so easy to use, just preheat both sides, lay the steaks on the grill, and gently lower the lid on the steak and use the lever to hold the lid at the perfect height. I set the timer for 6 minutes to cook my steak at medium doneness and waited. All of the grease dripped into the grease trap at the back and cleanup was a breeze. The plates are dishwasher safe if you have one and are easy to remove and flip from griddle to grill. The option for waffle plates is available though the plates are sold separately on the website. The outside of the grill stayed cool to the touch although the handle got a little warm, not hot enough to burn. All in all, a great indoor grill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know, you've got a million kitchen gadgets, but BELIEVE ME, this is a standout in the crowd! The engineering on this was so well thought out! To start with, the cord has it's own home on the bottom to wrap around for neat storage with a lock to keep it shut when tucked away. Win. The plates have a slight give to accommodate for larger items on the grill and pop in and out easily with a button. You can use the grill completely open or press it down to cook two sides at once. The plates can be reversed to be flat like a griddle or ridged like a grill. We have used a Forman grill for decades and always found it handy if we were unable to grill due to weather or lack of propane/coals/time and I always said the best upgrade for that would be the ability to control the temperature settings because it always cooked too quickly and I had to unplug it to adjust for a longer cooking time - pain in the you know. Well, problem is now solved!! I love the ability to control not only the temperature, but the temperature from side to side as I prefer my meat cooked medium and my other eats shoe leather...sorry, well done 😂. The sear function is also very impressive and dang, I really just can't rave about how many things I can do this this machine. I'm excited to buy the waffle plates and test that out too! Lastly though - clean up is a BREEZE! I know, you can throw them in the dishwasher, but they clean so quickly with soap water and a sponge, it literally takes two seconds. Everything slides right off. I'm in LOVE with this machine!!

It is really versatile, i can grill meat, make sandwiches (with the press function) or cook breakfast on the griddle, and even open it flat to cook more food at once. The features that i like the most are the dual temperature control, it makes it easier to cook different foods without burning anything, and the ceramic non-stick surface, it's toxic-free, the food releases easily, and cleanup is simple (in addition that the plates are easily removable). The unit is a bit large, so it does take up counter space, but you can store it vertically when it's not in use. But that is what make it perfect for indoor grilling, cooking for familiy and gatherings.
