Bought it last summer. My 40 year old son and I put it together. Would be easier for 3 or even 4 people but my son and I are resourceful! We put lights on it and I constructed a bar on the side facing our above ground pool. All the pieces fit together just as in the instructions. For the money, I felt this was super nice! Just got married and I plan to put one in the back yard of my wife’s home which we plan to keep. Be aware, this is cedar wood construction and there is nothing flimsy about it! Just a foot note; one of the corner braces had a bad chip on arrival and a replacement came super quick, no questions asked.

After researching every available gazebo model on the market, we chose this one and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We live in the CA desert where wind gusts in our area can regularly reach up to 75 mph. This model said it could withstand 125 mph winds, which no other product claimed, so I selected this one for that very purpose. Prior to the gazebo’s arrival, we had a contractor pour cement and add steel brackets to the post locations. We opted to pay the additional money to have the gazebo built by the company and we’re so glad we did as it took three men, several hours to do it. They did a wonderful job and were very friendly. Once they finished, our contractor added steel bolts to the posts, securely attaching them to the brackets, thus ensuring they would withstand our crazy, erratic conditions. Our contractor also added string light bulbs and a ceiling fan/light. He then hooked up a waterline to the gazebo and installed a misting system. Finally, he hung interior mosquito netting curtain panels and outer heavy privacy curtains, both of which are tied at the four corners when not in use. We LOVE our new outdoor space! Our friends and family have also marveled at it. We love that the structure is built from beautiful wood beams, rather the aluminum like many of the models we see. We have a day bed couch, two chairs and a coffee table under it, and since it has extra electrical outlets, we regularly bring a lightweight TV outside to watch while snuggled up on the couch. This gazebo has allowed us to enjoy our backyard more fully now. And every time I gaze out to our backyard and see it, it makes me happy. My husband says that makes this the best purchase ever.

Great kit. All items were unpacked, sorted, and stacked for ease of finding/using when called for in the directions. The best part was the individual bags of screws, bolts, nuts, etc. that were easy to find once sorted and placed on a table for ease in finding when needed. The hardest part was pouring the concrete footers to ensure a solid anchoring of the assembly. Assembling the frame was simple and made it easy to pre-place at the footer locations to ensure everything was in its proper place. Once placed and temporarily anchored, the assembly of the roof panels was simple. You will most definitely need a minimum of two people to place the panels, but three would be better. Finishing up was easy and only required tightening all the remaining bolts and completing anchoring the assembly permanently.

Installation took a lot longer than we expected. Instructions were so so and we did use the app BILT with step by step walk through which helped us in some situations. Installing the roof panels was definitely the hardest and definitely needed some extra helpers at that time. We are definitely very happy with the Gazebo and have spent many hours enjoying family time under it and look forward to many years to come.

Not only did it come in the size we needed, it can withstand snow, hail and wind up to 100mph!!!!! It also had the option for assembly, which is well worth it. Overall our Gazebo is more than we expected! We raved about it so much, that my Sister bought one too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our Backyard Discovery Gazebo in June of 2023. So far it has been a great entertaining area for both friends and family! I think Backyard Discovery gazebos would make a fun addition to anybodies backyard. As someone who has bought one and have enjoyed it very much, I would suggest having a slab poured and plan out exactly where you may want to add a future dedicated electrical outlets or even possibly running water. We learned the hard way….lol I also suggest putting a nice good quality sealant on it soon after it’s built as well as think about adding gutters to it. I bought this as a 50th Anniversary present to us. It was a Very Rough Year for my husband and I. I was diagnosed with breast cancer end of August and before I could plan my recovery, my husband and I got Covid and the day after Thanksgiving he had a stroke. There went my Caregiver! After 12rounds of Chemo and 20 rounds of radiation and 17 infusions which ended exactly one year our children put this beautiful Gazebo together for us before we headed down to Florida for the winter. We haven’t had a chance to enjoy it yet but hope to do so starting this Spring. The kids had a few issues on the metal top but it all worked out.

happy that I bought this a month ago. Just need to see how it does when it rains. Has been able to do very well with the winds. The 4 ridge pieces should hold but we will see with time. The quality of the material was good but had problems with some of the pieces being under/over length. some of the pieces were warped. Had a delay on one of the 12' roof panels that cost me some time to erect and money for a worker that came out of town. All in all once I received the right size pieces the hole thing when up without a problem.
