All I did was plug it near to fruit basket and it uses blue light to attract flying insects onto a hidden sticky cartridge . No spray no chemicals and no annoying zapping sounds . It's bog size so a lot of insects can catch easily. Long lasting durability. Great value .

Where we live, flies of all sorts are a problem and anything prior to the Zevo Flying Insect Trap, it never worked out. This trap has trapped all kinds of flies and is so worth the money! It's a simple plug in and it's ready to go. When you're ready to clean it, you can easily pull back on the sheet and throw away the used one and good as new!
