The instructions are clear but is not needed as this is a two stepp assembly. The coverage area of the trap is fantastic and it's not tiny and it is not bulky. It's was super easy to set up: just remove the cartridge from the device, peel off the cartridge liner by pulling the tab up and discarding, then just plug the device into an indoor electrical outlet. It's also compatible with Zevo Flying Insect Trap + Lock Refills. Overall, I feel that this flying insect trap is super easy to use and performs well. I highly recommend it!
