I honestly didn't realize how many it collected until I took it out of the wall. I don't think it works well for a regular house fly unless the one I've been chasing all day is too smart to go into the light! This is definitely worth it around fruit in the summer.

I use it at the daycare where I work, and it's been a great way to keep flying insects under control without using chemical sprays around the children. We live in CA so we have a green bin on our counter and our kids eat a ton of fruit so we have a lot of fruit flies. This works so much better than the little apples filled with vinegar! We hardly get fruit flies anymore and our kitchen is so much better for it.

I have it set up in my kitchen where I tend to get a lot of fruit flies and mosquitoes (because of a door that opens into the porch area). I don't like spraying any insect repellent because I have cats in the home and this is the perfect alternative. The insects are drawn to this trap instantly and the blue light is soothing to look at as well as the actual trap works with every home decor. Removal is easy and quick. Love this and am going to purchase it for several other rooms as well.

It is very straight forward, you just install the film and connect. The uv light attracts whatever insect is around and it gets stuck to the sticky film inside (which can be replaced).
