The blue light attracts the bugs and they get trapped on a sticky insert that you simple replace when full after a few days , I noticed fewer flies on my kitchen . Flyswatters are nasty and the strips that hang are just unattractive. The Zevo is great. It has a sticky pad in the back so trapped bugs are out of sight. Has a special blue light that attracts them in the dark and is small and compact so it isn't super noticable. There is no sound it makes. Just a silent bug trapper. I love these and wish I had known about them sooner.
