I do put it overnight because I feel like with the daylight I'm not able to able to use it in the daytime because of the daytime would be too much for the box but they still come at night like at night. I feel like it's the best way of catching them. They come most at night like mosquitoes flies and we do have a lot of flies here in the northeast and mosquitoes they're pretty annoying, but this product have been great so far and I like the fact that I can change the inside whenever I need to it's easy to take out easy to connect easy to make a so far I would recommend this product to my family and friends.
