Member's Mark Heavy Duty Adult Velvet Hangers, Assorted Colors - 50 Pack

These are nice and thin, hold the garment on the hanger without slipping; however, they do leave a mark on the shoulders that is pointed.  I find I have to take off the hanger the night before, so the shoulder shape is less pronounced the next day when I wear.  I am not sure if all velvet hangers have this issue as these were my first try.

I was tempted by the low price, and the average reviews were good, but... When I first opened the box, I could see that one of the hangers was badly warped. I applied some gentle pressure to see if it might straighten, and it snapped like a thin toothpick, scratching my hand. But that wasn't even the deal breaker. The coating on these things is not like other brands of "velvet" hangers I've tried, which are soft and... well, velvety. These feel like they have thousands of little bristles. I'd read of problems that people had with the black hangers shedding, so I opted for grey, thinking they'd be less likely to leave visible residue on my clothes. But when I took the precaution of wiping the first few with a white towel, they left dark streaks on the towel. I might be willing to take a chance on more hangers breaking, like the first one did. But I don't want that spiny coating to come off on my clothes--or to get into my skin or my lungs!

I don't even want these in my house.

Very happy with this purchase. Great quality hangers for 1/2 the price that I could find anywhere else. Thin design takes up less room and the velvet holds clothes, no more clothes slipping off the hangers.
