Never used anything other than Michelin

i have only used michelin tires on all my cars. They have always lasted longer than they are rated to perform. I have been in both heavy rain, snow, and sleek roads and have not once lost control or skid. On my last two "new" cars, after owning them for 10 years each, i have had to replace the tires once each in those 10 years. Meaning, that i have only bought new tires twice in 20 years ! I would highly recommend these tires if you plan on driving with someone you love or care about in the car.

Premier A/S

I have had Premier on a 2011 Saab 9 3 and got 71,000 miles on first set and put same tire on as replacement. Put them on my 2014 BMW X1 and have 40,000 miles on them. Will be needing to replace shortly. Have been very satisfied with these tires as far as handling in all weather conditions.

Handle well but very short lived

Granted I live in California where the roads aren't in the best condition however I drive them very tame (no hard braking, no fast starts, etc) and my tires are at 4/32 at just under 30,000 miles. I've always balanced and rotated but the tires just wore out very quick under very lite driving. The good is that they handled well in dry, wet, and cornering. I just will look elsewhere for more value and longevity.

Premature Wear

I've purchased Michelin tires for the past 30 years and the Premier A/S have worn down to 3/32 and 4/32 in less than 27,000 miles. I'm meticulous about rotating my tires every six thousand miles, keeping them properly inflated, and have never driven on rock or gravel roads which can cause excessive wear. This is the first set of Michelin tires that have worn this quickly and it seems like a very common issue with these tires.

good performer with low milage

Driving Lexus ES 350 with Premier A/S w/ 27,000 highway miles in Colorado. The tread is 60% off, and it looks like, the tread will be gone at about 35,000 miles vs 60,000 indicated by Michelin. Dry , wet , noise and cornering performance are excellent as typical for Michelin tires in general. Light snow and particularly mushy snow driving is mediocre. I would not take it to the mountains unfortunately! I plan to trade in for Michelin Defender ( more aggressive tread) or LTX ( similar to A/S) to get a better snow/winter performance. Otherwise Michelin please advise.

Horrible tread life

2021 Pacifica purchased in Feb of '21. Live in Northeast, so see all the weather. Had OEM Michelin Premier A/S Tires on it and only got 18,000 miles out of them before they were toast. We drive around town, commute to work, a few modest road trips - nothing crazy, and after 18,000 they were dangerous to drive on. All maintenance and rotations completed. The tires are simply horrible. No warranty for OEM tires? So it's known they are horrible?? Great to know you won't stand behind your product, says a lot. If you purchase a vehicle with these, start putting some money away for new tires, you're gonna need it.

Ripped off and it keeps coming back at you.

They went after 35,000 and I could not get a cash refund but only the same tires again. Michelin had me locked in because the warranty would be only for that tire again. The dealer said all 4 tires were used properly since they all showed the same wear. I had them rotated regularly. The most expensive tire on my Lexus were a failure.

Having Second Thoughts

I have a 2012 Camry LE. The OEM tires were the Energy Savers, which were smooth and quiet. They were down to 4/32 at 43K miles. So, it being winter here in New England, I researched and replace them with the Premiers. Now, I'm second guessing my choice. The Premiers seem noisier and feel like they don't absorb bumps quite as well. Maybe new Energy Savers were in order, but I read the Premiers were a better tire for grip in foul weather. Slightly disappointed.

BMW 2001 325Ci - Michelin Premier A/S

Bought my wife a used BMW convertible - front end need some work as would be expected with a car that had 16 years on it. After everything was replaced, still did not ride good, rotated and re-balanced the Goodyear tires on, not a noticeable difference . Swapped out the Goodyear tires with the Michelin Premier A/S. It was the difference between night and day, drives and handles great. Point is, car is 16 years old, cost $36K new, one can choose to treat a car like this as a 16 year old car with over 100K miles, I treat this one as a $36K vehicle with 100K miles. Tires make a big difference - go with Michelin

Quiet and Comfortable

I have a Chevrolet Cruze Eco that I've put a lot of miles on, and I needed to replace the OEM Assurance Fuel Saver tires. These new Premier A/S tires are quieter, handle better, and have a smoother ride than the originals, which weren't that bad to start with! Fuel economy seems to be equivalent to the original tires (so far). Having a tire that performs well in wet weather, even when worn, is important in western Washington.
