Best Michelin tire I have owned

I have owned several sets of Michelin tires and this set just topped the list for traction, responsiveness and road handling. They replaced another set of Michelin tires and the performance is even better. If you have owned Michelin's you know what I'm talking about. If you are thinking about your first set, do it. I have sold tires for twenty years which means I have driven cars with different tires on them and nothing compares to the performance and value you get out of a set of Michelin's. Per mile there is no greater return on your investment than buying a set of Michelin's for you car, van, truck or sports car.

On west coast, we have to be careful where you buy them

I have driven on Michlin's for 45 years. I talked my buddy into getting a set of LTXs for his 3/4 ton truck. He found a GREAT deal in Oregon and they worked GREAT in the Utah mountains pulling trailer in snow, etc. 35,000 miles later they were smooth. I had trouble talking him into getting another setbut he did only this time he got them from a Utah dealer that buys from a mid-western distributer. 60,000 miles later they are still doing great and have over half tread. A few years ago I read an article about imported name brand itemsflooding the west coast. My feeling is some of the unhappy Michlin buyers may have encountered so "knockoffs". Just a guess.

Love Michelin tire but not these.

I purchased these tires for my Honda Pilot and boy am I sorry I did. I have driven on these tire about 30,000 miles now and I am going to replace them. They handle decent and traction is not an issue but they are extremely rough riding and a little noisy. It is time to look for a different set of tires. I hate to replace them this soon but I can’t stand the roughness anymore.

We understand the Premier A/S tires on your Honda PIlot did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Outstanding grip and quiet!

These tires replaced a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws and I can't get over how quiet these new Michelin Premiers are! Our Camry is a joy to drive again with the reduced cabin noise and the tires have an outstanding grip in rainy weather. We are completely pleased with this purchase (2nd set of Michelins in the family now) and will not stray from Michelins after this experience!

More Marketing Hype Than Performance - Go with MXV4s

Had the MXV4s which I replaced with these when the previous set could not be repaired due to road damage. So much worse than I have come to expect from Michelin. Tires are noisy on NYC roads and are softer than most, resulting in roll during anything but perfect conditions despite regular rotations and tire pressure checks. I have an AWD car which returned above average control before these were put on it. Would return them if I could, but at this point will need to live with them for a couple of years.

Second time buyer

I just purchased Premier A/S tires for my daily driver (09 Jetta). These are my second set of Michelin's in the life of this car. I previously had Primacy MXV4 which I loved and lasted a very long time. So far the Premier A/S are every bit as good as the MXV4 have been. They stick to the road well when aggressive handling is needed and very rarely ever lose traction in wet weather.

Disappointed and shocked - needs replacement at 33K

We bought these tires in January 2020 from Costco. Tires only lasted about 33k miles and now I've been told that they need replacement. We bought the tires at 48,013 miles on our vehicle. Our Vehicle recently hit 81k miles. Car wouldn't pass inspection because of the tires and now i am looking at another expensive tire bill just so i can pass inspection. I was just looking to buy a set of Michelin Defender 2 and thought of checking reviews on the Premier A/S. Glad i did. i have receipts and all from the purchase. Michelin, what can you do to help us here?

Outstanding Tire Driven over 1,200 miles

Have driven the tire over 1,200 miles now, so time for review. Coming from the Michelin Energy MXV4. some comments in review about Noise, since I drive with my head inside the window, did not notice anything different from my previous tire. About the same as all other tires I have driven on passenger cars. Fuel Economy - neutral to previous tire, no gain/no loss. comfort - significantly better than my worn down Energy MXV but can say I love the ride so far. Smooth on normal street / freeway surfaces. Overall this is a great tire. The true test of the technology in this tire will be after 25-30,000 miles as the tire has significant wear. But from the first 1,200 miles, love the tire glad I made the upgrade from the MXV.

Dissapointing performance after 25,000 miles

After more than a decade of Pilot Exalto A/S then Pilot Sport A/S Plus, the Premier A/S has been a total let down: the tire was good for 25,000 miles (lasting 10,000 miles less than the Sport tires with 7,500 mile rotations), I had two of the four tires which blew sidewalls (separate incidents), and overall the riding is clunky compared with the prior models. I upgraded to the Pilot Sport A/S 3 and that tire is more in line with what I expect.

The ultimate all season tire

I read the reviews about this tire. They claim it's quiet, handles well, lasts long, etc. I just got a set [4] tires for my '93 Dodge Intrepid ES and so far, they're great! So far, the Premier A/S is everything the reviews said, and then some. These tires are so smooth on the road. No tire noise. They handle like dream in the corners and on the straights. They stay glued to the road in the rain. What a good looking deep tread profile. I mean, they look like they could handle the dirt roads as well. Like I said, this could be the best Michelin tire yet. Well done, mon amis.
