With two vertical compartments, one for the fridge and one for the freezer, this layout allows for easy access to both sections without having to bend down. The slim profile is especially appealing for kitchens with narrower spaces or for those who prefer a taller, more streamlined fridge. In terms of build quality, the fridge feels solid with stainless steel finishes that are both sleek and modern. Fingerprint-resistant coatings are a nice touch, especially if you have kids or frequently entertain guests. The handle design is ergonomic, making it easy to open the doors, even if the fridge is full. The fridge side is typically equipped with adjustable shelves, door bins, and a few crisper drawers.

Refrigerator died after 1.5 years from date of purchase due to a failure of the sealed system. Samsung is trying to claim that the refrigerator is out of warranty even though their own warranty documents explicitly state that parts and labor of the sealed system are covered for 5 years. The only silver lining is that this is a fairly straightforward case for small claims court. Filed today and am expecting to get the prorated value of the refrigerator. I would highly recommend that all prospective buyers avoid Samsung products. In my experience, they are not built to last and Samsung will not honor their warranty agreements as written.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new refrigerator. It is roomy and there is a spot for everything. The doors allow for storage gallons of milk and juice. The drawer hold a weeks worth of fresh produce. The shelves are larger and allow for easy access to everything. The icemaker is in the door which frees up an entire shelf in the freezer. It keeps up with the ice demand and we have quit buying bags of ice. There are enough shelves in the freezer that everything is organized and in plain sight. The only thing I would change is the ice access. We gave a designated scoop. I recommend this refrigerator for anyone who needs a new roomy refrigerator.

Well it seems like it, I transitioned from a freezer on the bottom french door style fridge to this nice sleek side by side. I have more freezer space, got a 20lb turkey in the fridge over CHristmas - so plenty of space. I like the drawers - i consider them a weak spot in most fridges because they crack and break, but the 2 drawers seem sturdy, and are holding up well. This is my first stainless applience, which does gather the finger prints, but they DO wipe off easily with a micro fiber cloth. Ice machine works great. Over all I really like it.

The size inside will hold good and drinks easily for a family of five. I am loving how cold the freezer gets. Stuff is frozen within an hour of putting in there. It’s not noisy at all.

The smart feature is excellent, I can adjust the temperature using my phone. It also warns me if the door is left open. It works well as of now, but I think I'm missing the bottom freezer door shelf because none of the ones I have fit in that area. Will have to see how long this holds up.

Horrible fridge with a really bad filter. First lots of fingerprints. Constantly need to clean it. Doors don't always stay shut - the freezer door always bounces open when you close the fridge. The fronts of the bins keep popping off. It is hard to clean and it is too large. Worst is the stupid water filter for the ice maker. Why does it have a #$% filter? Secondly, look at the reviews for the water filter. So many people have ended up with ruined floors and basement ceilings because apparently it is really hard to install and doesn't fit well. Even though I turned off the icemaker within two weeks, it still decided I needed a new filter. No, I don't. I don't want a filter in my refrigerator. That is what Brita is for. Much cheaper. I don't need ice and I didn't want an icemaker but it still comes with it. I had thought if I didn't get a water dispenser, I could do without a water filter, but nope. And it is someplace that makes changing it impossible. The directions are useless - read the reviews for instructions. The icemaker, was noisy and made too much ice during the two weeks it took for me to get it to successfully turn off. Samsung apparently is a fan of the HP replacement model of buying unneeded replacements because as soon as it was about six months old, the stupid fridge wanted a new filter. Samsung won't even tell where to buy it other than direct from them and implies in the comments to the reviews that the ones marked as Samsung at hardware stores aren't Samsung. Well nobody wants to buy it from Samsung since it has apparently lousy reviews and you need to complete a form (probably for an RMA) just to return defective filters on your own dime. Just sell the filters to the hardware stores and Walmart/Target and stop making things difficult. Even though the water maker was off. Can't turn off the dumb light.

The Power Freeze function is great to quickly freeze frozen items that have thawed out a bit from the travel from the grocery store to home. The Power Cool is a nice function to cool down the refrigerator from the constant open and closing due to multiple family members going in and out of the refrigerator. The bright interior LED lighting is amazingly bright and makes finding items in the fridge easy. The 2-Minute Door Alarm is always nice to let you know if the fridge was left open for to long and a nice reminder to make sure it stays closed when not in use. The Samsung SmartThings App to control the temperature and monitor your refrigerator remotely is a very convenient way to check to make sure the rest of the family members are keeping the fridge closed when not in use to keep everything in it nice and cool. The fingerprint resistance surface definitely makes the constant fingerprints less noticable and if you do see them it's easy to wipe it clean. The large capacity easily houses all of our old refrigerators contents and has room for way more! All of the contents stay at a cool temperature even with multiple people opening and closing the refrigerator at different times of the day. I would still purchase this refrigerator at full price since it works so well!
