I purchased 2 of these to replace 2 that I had bought the day before and returned. These shelving units are excellent. They are very heavy duty and easy to assemble. I put them together myself in less than an hour for both units. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more, if and when I need them!!

I love these shelves. They’re versatile, sturdy and if using the casters, easy to roll to another area. Just a word of caution … instead of cutting open the entire box to reveal the contents, I opened only one end and pulled everything out. After separating the contents, I noticed several damaged black plastic circular pieces and edge protectors. Later I found they were just that … protectors. Thread protectors by way of another reviewer and the rest being protectors for the corners of the unit, all meant to discard. I freaked out for a moment thinking I had damaged everything but all the true pieces you will need will be bagged up. It may still benefit you to cut around the entire perimeter of the box and open it like a pizza box instead of pulling everything out. Another thing I found helpful was when connecting the upper and lowers bar, to have them both on the ground so they’re level and then thread them together, using WD-40 around the threads to make it easier. One or two kept getting stuck for me otherwise. Lastly, I found a dead-blow hammer was really useful in driving the shelves in place onto the plastic stoppers, making sure everything’s level before you start. I just counted the rungs on the bars to get the correct placement and that worked for me. So in the end, the only thing I ended up using was a dead-blow hammer and WD-40. So worth it … these shelves are awesome.

I bought this shelf unit at my local club today after some research. It is not yet assembled, but I have unpacked and inspected every part and it is very well made. First, I looked at the pdf file and saw that it is made by Seville. Their products are not USA made but the design and engineering are first class, in my opinion. (I have both versions of their 72 inch rolling work benches and three of their 24 x 28 cabinets - all bought at Sam's) To answer some of the questions posted in the questions and answer section, the box, as picked up at the club, is marked 89.7 pounds and measures 48 inches x 18¾ inches x 9¾ inches. I'm also a member at the competing club in my city and they offer similar unit with similar specs. I looked at the competitor's offering first and their shelves had the zig-zag wire trusses on both sides of the shelves and three rods welded to the cross rods of the shelves to prevent separation. I went to Sam's and their unit's shelves had the same edge trusses plus a third truss in the center with rods welded to the cross wires between the center truss and the edges on each side. The purchase was an easy decision.

I have been a customer of Sams club for many years, and I'm disappointed to say that When I pay for new merchandise I expect to receive new NOT USED! I'm using the unit as a single unit for now, which is fine. but when I received the box the unit was in it was pretty beat up and tapped up a lot. I opened the box and took out all the parts , and noticed all these little black plastic rings loose and a bunch of opened small boxes that I assumed where the rings belonged. As I start taking out the parts of the box and separating and organizing the parts , I noticed that the majority of the rings were broken, so this tells me that this unit has been either used or was a floor model. never less I ordered a new item and disappointingly received a used one. The rings apparently were to be used for if you wanted to divided the unit in two parts, and yes it would have been nice to have all the parts if one decides to make the unit into two parts. But I can use it as one for now. I feel that Sams Club should be more honest to their customers in what they are receiving whether its new, used, or a floor model. And since this is used and sent back to Samsclub and not checked out before placing it back on the shelf for resale or even a floor model and carelessly not checked out before repacking it to sell, Although I would still recommend this unit, I strongly feel as though Sams Club owes me some sort of a discount or comforsation for sending me a not only a used item , but with broken parts . I took pictures of the opened boxes and the broken plastic rings. And I ask to hear from Sams club on this problem .

Be warned, there are round, black plastic discs, some broken, loose in the box. No indication of what they are. Not listed in the parts list. Called Sevillle and had to leave phone number. Never received a return call. The shelf went together fine and still have these parts left over. The only thing I can figure is that they are used in the manufacturing and the factory workers just dumped them in the box. The first box was delivered by FedEX with the bottom flap opened and some of these fell out and a few were broken. I had Sam's send it back and they shipped another one in less than a week. This one also had the discs in it, some broken. Again I thought I had broken parts. I checked the parts list and there was no listing for these and the shelf went together perfectly. All the fustration could have been avoided if they were not in the box, something was mentioned on the instructions or Seville had answered or even returned my call.

I had purchased the same brand rack online and I had seen this one the last time that I went to Sam's. This is actually a heavy duty rack, and even though it looks like the one I purchased online it is much heavier. It did cost a few dollars more but was well worth it.

Pros: sturdy looks great casters ample room per shelf nice height, fits through doorways but is tall excellent value for price clean and will stay that way rugged Oddities: shelf unit holds 3500 lbs on leveling feet, but only 500 on casters, which is less than the rated 600 per shelf you would get on the stationary feet. easy to put together, yet a little tricky in some ways--not difficult--tricky. I had to stop more than a few times due to the design of plastic brackets they include for holding the shelves in place. Though sturdy, they tend to move as you are placing the shelf, requiring you to redo that portion of the assembly.

I decided to buy this for additional long term food storage. It took some time to put together by myself but I finally got it done. If I had measured where to put the first set of clips instead of eyeballing them it would have been quicker. I would definitely buy another one if needed.

I have purchased over 20 of these and use them in my store, basement, and garage. I have seen them for as much as 279.95 each. They have increased 30.00 in 6 years, but I will buy more. You cannot beat Sam's price on these. Very easy to assemble and change . Wheels make them easy to move. A great product!

I have ordered 2 of these in the past and they were great! However the most recent one I was nervous about because the box was VERY damaged!! I got it put together and when I got to the very last shelf there was a HUGE dent in it! Not sure if this was due to the shipping company or sams club but I was very disappointed! I can’t send it back and I am over 2 hours from a store!! So now I have a 5 rack shelf instead of 6. :(
