It is a dark red wine with an orange tinge. In terms of taste, it has a strong black cherry flavor with hints of blackberry, persimmon, and pomegranate. It has a bit of an acidic aftertaste that is harsh on the palate with a black cherry flavor.

The wine boasts aromas of blackberry, graham cracker, brown sugar, chocolate, coffee, and my personal favorite, an enticing smoky smell. The sweet flavor profile of blueberry, vanilla, caramel, and mocha were expertly completed by hints of toasted oak.

I really didn't know if I would like the barrel aged wines but they actually hit quite nicely. We enjoyed this wine with a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits. I think I enjoyed the cheeses best with this one.

The oaky undertones and bourbon flavor appeal to me. You simply cannot top it for the price. When compared to more expensive wines, I would still pick this one. It’s so smooth and delicious. It’s been a hit when I've served it to friends for dinner or cocktail hour. Give it a try you won’t regret it! I hope you like it as much as I have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a general rule, I do not select a Cabernet wine however of the 3 wines I tasted, this was hands down my favorite. It had definite aromas of blackberry, mocha, and bourbon. It was deep in appearance and had a smooth taste. The dark fruits and hints of vanilla but finished dry with the bourbon notes. I was very pleasantly surprised with this wine and can say that with the price point and the flavor I will definitely purchase it again. I enjoyed the wine with a chili-infused pasta dish and it was delicious together. I would definitely recommend this wine and it was the easiest of the three wines I sampled to find in stores.

I have to say this was my favorite out of Robert mondavi’s whole collection. I paired this wine with spaghetti and it went very well together

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tasted the barrel-aged Cab, Merlot, and red blend wines, and the Cab was everyone’s favorite. The others were good, and we enjoyed them all, but the Cab had a fuller body that held up well to the barrel flavors.
