It helps trap some of the order from your clothes and it ends up eliminating them which leaves your clothes smelling great. On top of the detergent and the cap acts as a measuring cups. And it gives you the amount of recommended detergent needed for the size of load you may have. I typically don't need to use more than like 2 tablespoons of detergent while washing clothes. No matter the size, however you do you. You can follow the instructions. They're easy to read easy to find and you do that what you will. I feel that I'm using the 2 tablespoons method of lunch detergent leave my clothes smelling great clean either way and it actually lasts a long time as far as the smell goes and the laundry detergent as well. I will say for the price and everything is not a bad liquid detergent and again at least my clothes clean and smiling great as for what I'm looking for so it works out.
