I've been using Gain laundry detergent for several years now. It does a great job of cleaning your dirty laundry while leaving them soft and bright. My husband suffers from psoriasis and so we have to be careful about detergents that are too harsh and aggravate his skin. But Gain is a detergent to which he's never had a negative reaction. I'm so glad because i LOVE the Original Gain fragrance. It smells like a sunny Spring day in a meadow of wildflowers. Gain has many fragrance selections but Original will always be my favorite!

I don't feel it has the best cleaning power for my kids' clothes like maybe Tide has in the past. I'm not too much a fan of the strong scent but overall I rate it so high because it otherwise works well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent of this particular laundry detergent is good. It just smells like a regular scent that most detergents would be. The consistency however was pretty thin from what I can see in comparison to other laundry detergents. Now with the instructions I did use one and a half cap full of detergent and I put it on top of my clothes however when I use this again I will go with the recommended suggestion to put the detergent at the bottom of the washer and then the clothes because in my apartment complex has new washers and that's what it suggests. The weight on the bottle is pretty light for me which means it could be more product in comparison to water which is something I really need to consider. Most laundry detergents that I do pick up are heavier because of the water content that it offers and this doesn't have that from how it feels when packing it to the washroom. Now with the value of this particular detergent, I'm not sure because I don't use this particular brand before however it may be something that I can purchase in the future if it's at a reasonable cost.
