I live in a studio apartment on the third floor with 12 foot ceilings. My old air conditioner was practically useless for maintaining my apartment at a reasonably cool temperature to the point I had to move my bed closer to the window to sleep comfortably. Even so, my summer electric bill was crazy high. After installing this air conditioner I was pleasently surprised how cool it made my entire studio apartment. I finally was able to arrange my apartment with my bed being in a more reasonable space and can even use my oven without fear of overheating my entire living space. Even better my electric bills aren't as high as they were last summer. So happy to finally beat the heat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the middle of the desert it's over 100+ in the middle of the day this amazing little cooler keeps me nice and cold in my room. It cools off my room and the room adjoining mine so I dont have to cool the whole house if I dont need to and I dont have to turn the big AC down low.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea 5,000 BTU air conditioner is amazing. It cooled off my 10x12 room off quick in 90° weather. I also love how its quieter than most air conditioners and the air forced out is quicker compared to other on the current market. It installed with a breeze very quick and simple. The knobs are easy to operate and to read. It's not too bulky and fits a standard sized window with room to spare. This is such a great addition to have I absolutely love it!!

We had the unfortunate experience of our air conditioner dying in a blaze of glory on the hottest and most humid day of the year and on the weekend. After an emergency appointment with our heating and cooling company the diagnosis was every home owner’s fear: system death. Due to my asthma the humidity in our home needs to stay below a certain level and within a few hours my breathing was becoming labored. In the pandemic world everything closes early so our first night we were out of luck. I was able to order this window unit before the cutoff for next day pickup! I was a bit skeptical because this was the only thing available and our bedroom is not small and has an addition that is 150 square feet alone. I was expecting this to either not work at all or work very poorly because of its size. I was very pleasantly surprised that both the bedroom and the addition cooled down to a lovely 70 degrees! This tiny little unit was definitely worth the money to get us through to our new system installation tomorrow. It doesn’t do much for the humidity (it brought it down by about 5%) but at least we are able to sleep through the night and get some respite from the rest of the house. I wasn’t looking forward to paying $400-600 for a window unit that we only needed for less than a week before spending thousands of dollars on the new system, so I’m very pleased with this purchase and price. I recommend this little dude for sure!

Not much to the controls as what you see is what you get. If you’re looking for something simple and easy this is it. Love the washable filter and it cools quick. Not much noise so it does the job well.

However, my apartment does not have room for a big AC. This is a god send. Its small and easy to pack for the winter time. It does the job very well and keeps the room nice a cool. It can be noisy but nothing compared to the street of NYC. It is easy to install and user friendly.

You can adjust the vents to blow in different directions. Easy to run. Not loud. Also would work great in a ice castle for camping. Just the perfect size.
