Terrible Performance

Bought to cool a 10 x 8 room doesn't keep the room cool at all with an outside ambient temperature of 83 degrees Fahrenheit. Unit was not worth the effort to install it

Good value

I've had this unit for about a year now. I have only used it when my central AC has issues, but for what it's worth, it does a good job. It works great in small rooms, but can help keep a bigger space from getting too warm in an AC malfunction emergency. I'm going to purchase another to put in my 12x12 insulated shed.

Temporary Fix

The fan mower went bad in our old 4 ton combo unit. The replacement fan and cleaned coils led to lower cooling power and more strain on the unit. We purchased this window unit to shut the living room vents and keep the main A/C from working so hard. It has proven useful as a supplement to keep our primary unit from overworking until we can replace it. YMMV.
