I have a large mix of old and new Sonos products. The Roam speaker is the only one that doesn't work with the S1 controller, making the setup a nightmare. Requiring the use of the S2 app for the speaker is not disclosed anywhere in their advertising. Why can't Sonos release one app that can be used by all of their products or design new products so they work with the old app? Can't be that hard.....

I bought the Roam so that we could have a quality portable speaker for when we went on trips. I also wanted it to be a speaker that would integrate into our home system so that we can use it there as well. My two-year-old has discovered the speaker and absolutely loves it. She will pull it off the charger and take it with her and thanks to the integrated controls, start playing her favorite songs. I did not show her how to use it, or that it even had buttons. Sonos designed this so well that even a child can figure out how to operate it with ease. I highly recommend this speaker, great sound for the size.

If I pull it off the magnetically attached charging base it takes the charging base with it. Controlling from a phone does not allow a quick mute of the speaker if a phone call comes in. It has to be in the Sonos app to do that and a phone call takes precedence on the phone. It also would have been nice to have had a charging base in the same color as the speaker, orange, in stead of a white or black bees. The only color options there were for a base. Music from the internet instead of Bluetooth is nice.

Bought one primarily for use out on my deck. Works very well and fits that purpose perfectly. Then I bought a second and play them as a stereo pair on my office streaming off my phone. Works really well.I love the charger set as it keeps everything charged and ready to go. I just grab one and walk outside with it. Very pleased. Set up was simple. I had a connectivity issue with the first unit but that was the exchanged and the replacement is perfect.

The speaker looked nice. The sound was a little out of sync with my speaker system. I wanted to expand the system within a large room but the sound was about a half second to a second off which just created an annoying echo. It was convenient as a device you could pick up and go when chasing kids outside, but other than that it was a bit pricey for what the speaker provided us so we returned it.

Shocked at how great this sounds given the size. I have sonos speakers throughout my home and this is really close to a Sonos one. Not sure how long the battery lasts.

I purchased the Sonos Roam from my local Sam's Club today. The associate said that everything would be in the box including the wireless charger. The item number on my receipt matches the item number on the website. I got home and unboxed the Sonos Roam only to find out that the wireless charger was not in the box.

Sonos just puts out fantastic sound. I love my blues and a station in TuneIn Ardvark Blues coming out of my sonos all of them is incredible.

The Sonos roam sounds great. However the wireless charger not only does not charge the speaker it drains it in about an hour, disappointing.

This small guy packs such amazing quality sound. Its so versatile and compact i even brought it with me on vacation.
