Bought brand new for my son for Christmas. Straight out of the packaging, he hooked it up to his brand new PS5 and immediately noticed the direction pad and left analog stick are not working properly. As an example, he couldn’t run around on Fortnite. Going to try to return, but we threw out the box so not sure if it will be allowed :( there goes almost $80!

I got this controller because the one that came with my PS5 was far too gone. The controller would randomly stop working during all my games, so I got a brand new one. This one does the exact same thing, it's like I cant even tell them apart anymore based on quality.

I think we may have gotten a bad controller. It worked great for 5 days then completely stopped working. I attempted to troubleshoot via YouTube but none of the recommendations worked. In fact every time we plugged it up it started to get very hot and emit a terrible smell…almost burning plastic. We have since replaced it with the same one and so far so good. This PS5 controller not only looks better but is sturdier than previous Play Station controllers. The kids have dropped it a few times and no problems so far. The only thing I would add to it would be a better grip. The Xbox controllers have more of it on the handles and it feels better.

Second time my boyfriend has bought this controller. First time in October, had stick drift on the left stick by end of June. Just bought another one on a Saturday, it already had stick drift on the same stick 3 days later. Obviously returned it, it’s an absolutely ridiculous price for such a cheap controller. No idea what has happened to the quality of Sony PlayStation controllers but definitely going to be looking elsewhere for a ps5 compatible controller.

we needed to have two with how often we play. my son plays on his ps5 a lot and we were always running around looking for cords (Because my son has a habit of going through cords in a twenty four hour time period) so i bouoght a charging dock and now with having another controller, he can switch to the second one when his first one dies

Unlike the previous Playstation models made these controllers for the PS5 seem to last longer, are sturdier, and we've yet to replace any after having a system for 3 years. We just keep buying them because they come out with cool colors and we have a large gaming family.

This controller is amazing. The shape is a large improvement over the dualshock, and it looks great as well. For anyone who wants to know, your thumbstick extensions for your PS4 controllers will work on this controller as the sticks are pretty much the same. However, the controller wont work on the PS4.
