We bought this gazebo a few months ago and absolutely love it! It was relatively easy to assemble and is made of high quality, durable material. It was the perfect addition to the backyard. We spend almost every evening out back enjoying the gazebo! It's also very easy to accessorize. We love it and highly recommend it!

With prices of wood through the roof right now, a roof was out of my budget. With no protection over my charcoal grill, rain has been an issue. When I saw this at Sam's Club, I bought it immediately. The next day after assembling it, I was out there cooking some epic burgers during a very strong spring storm. Rain, thunder and lightning didn't affect my cookout at all. Assembly (for me) took 4 1/2 hours and I had to invoke the help of my wife and daughter a couple times, but it wasn't overly difficult. I would have given it 5 stars, but it didn't come with wood lag bolts for fastening to our aging deck. A trip to Lowe's remedied that. Plus, they only have 4 roof rafter brackets, and in my most humblest opinion, it should have had 6.

I was planning on designing and building my own covered grilling / smoking area, but I have been "planning" for 4 years now, and somehow never got around to it. Then I saw an ad for the Saxony XL Gazebo and it was exactly what I wanted to build. I finally decided to go ahead and buy this kit and am very happy that I did! The hardest part of this project for me was the site preparation. I had to clear out old landscaping and run electrical wiring for a smoker and lights. Then I installed pavers and was finally ready to assemble the gazebo. After staining all the parts, assembly was a breeze. I was very impressed with how well laid out everything was and all pilot holes and whatnot were right on. I was having a bit of a hard time attaching the roof panels but found that setting the front edge on some scrap 2x4's made it much easier. You can see that in the first photo. The next hardest part was putting the roof on, but luckily three of my son's friends came over to help. They are all over 6' so we didn't even need a ladder! :) Now I just need to get my grill and smoker in place and do some landscaping around the gazebo. But somehow it got to be December and in the Pacific Northwest, that is not a great time for yardwork...

I bought this Saxony Grill Gazebo about 1 year ago. It meets all my expectations. The added AC/USB module puts it over the top for sure. Easy to run my rotisserie unit and charge phones, etc. It fits right in with my other gazebo and hot tub surround. We love it - You will too!

We bought this to have a covered area on our new patio for our grill and smoker. The materials are very solid and well made. The assembly wasn't too difficult. I love that a surge protector is included so that adding lights as well as using small appliances on the side shelves is no trouble. The grill gazebo makes the patio look great!

The Backyard Discovery Saxony XL Grill Gazebo exceeded my expectations. We chose the DIY option. It wasn't too difficult to assemble took 3 of us about 6 hours to complete. We ran into one hiccup, but a quick call to the customer service line had the issue resolved in no time at all. If I was to do it again I would probably pay the extra money to have someone else put it together, unless you truly enjoy building things I would recommend a installer. The Gazebo itself is high quality and looks amazing. They do recommend you weather seal it after you put it together, so make sure you plan to do that to keep it looking amazing for years to come. The plugs it comes with are great and a nice added touch. Overall, this gazebo is a home run and a great value. It is super durable and feels solid.

I am very disappointed in regards to the front top board is three pieces. Depsite us properly torqing the bolts in a circular pattern a little at a time the board is still not perfectly straight. This is the most important board in the structure. Overall I am happy but this is a disappointment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Gazebo last summer to provide a sitting/cooler area beside our pool. We couldn't be happier. Very solid and beautiful construction. The assembly was extremely accurate and very straight forward. Probably the easiest assembly I have had on anything. Love it.

I needed a gazebo no taller than 8 feet or so, since I wanted to keep my tress without much trimming. This gazebo fits our space perfectly. I know it's called the 'XL Grill Gazebo', but for us it's the pool tools and shade gazebo. The power box and shelves are perfect for pool items and other backyard tools. The shade space is great. I would have loved a bigger one, but don't have the space in the area I had designated. Installation was professional and my dealings with the BYD service folk was outstanding. The quality of the solid cedar wood parts is exceptional. I would definitely recommend BYD with no reservations.

I purchased this product for my mother this past summer. With the help of my son and wife, I was able to confidently put together this beauty of a gazebo. Since the completion of this project, my mother has grilled hundreds of dishes for our family and friends. She loves her gazebo and has not looked back at her old grill ever since!!! We have received many many compliments from our neighbors and friends. I recommended them this product and assured them how easy it is to assemble. After completing the project, I added my own touch to the build. I used my DIY skills and added custom wooden louvered panels to help keep my mother out of the sun!
