I wasn't sure if it would be too big for our relatively small yard, but it has changed the whole look of our backyard. We used to have the grill pressed up against the house, but we actually moved it out into the middle of the patio with the gazebo over it, hung some lights, and have the table a bit further out... and it looks like the back of a restaurant now. I thought it was neat but I actually really didn't expect it to so dramatically change the look of our yard. People comment on it every time they come over.

I purchased the saxony XL last summer and built it on a deck I built specifically for this gazebo. I absolutely love the functionality of the gazebo from keeping my grills protected, providing sun cover for me, to adding a beautiful conversation piece to the back yard. I added LED rope lights, a menu board and a hook for my apron. I plan to gutter the back this week. the assembly was straight forward and took a day or two working mostly alone. The roof was a four person job. I have recommended this to friends without hesitation. I just stained the whole structure this summer with Cabot semitransparent cedar wood stain. It looks great!

LOVE IT! I have a small 40x100 backyard on Long Island. I was looking to put up a privacy fence along my driveway that runs to the back of my yard because we are very (too) close to our neighbors where our patio table and sectional are. OMG the price of a 2 section wood fence and install was quoted at almost the same price as this gazebo. So we bought this instead and nailed 5/4x6” cedar decking to the back to enclose it. I am beyond excited about how it turned out and it gave us way more privacy than any fence and umbrella could. BUY IT! You wont regret it!

This shipped super quick, and I received it within days - amazing! My husband said assembly looks easy enough, and as soon as the rain passes through, we're having our first family grill night of the year. I can't wait for this beauty to be set up in my yard! I purchased this grill gazebo to put on an 8‘ x 8‘ concrete pad. After three years of replacing metal gazebos that just bent in the wind or rusted through the year it was time to make the bigger investment in a nice cedar gazebo. The construction recommends two adults, I took an entire day and did it by myself. I am 6 foot 2, 220 pounds and most of the construction was able to be completed safely with just myself. To place the roof on the top of the structure, You definitely need another adult of equal height and a ladder. For most of the process, you can get it done with just one person, but lifting the roof onto the top of the structure does require a second grown adult. I love the way it looks. I would purchase it all over again and recommend it to all my friends. It’s a wonderful addition to our yard!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for something that could do two things, protect my grill/barbecue area from rain, and shield my 3 season porch from the late afternoon/evening summer sun. I was able to put most of it together myself, and with my brother's help we lifted the roof section into place. I really like the look of it, I like the sturdy feel it has, it's very well thought out. It is a real job to put it together, though. Just do a thorough inventory, read the directions more than once, and budget plenty of time.
