I pick up a pack or two every time I go shopping. It is super affordable and convenient/easy to cook up with some taco seasoning to make bowls for the week.

When I went to portion this out using a kitchen scale, it was not 3 lbs (48 oz) but instead totaled 36.4 oz (so just over 2 lbs). No complaints about the quality but I did not get what I paid for.

While we like this, for a recipe I needed to put it on the scale. My digital scale showed 2 pounds 14 ounces, not 3 pounds. Maybe I should weigh the next one as well. Surely the 3 pound claim doesn't include packaging.

I Just had to throw a whole batch of chili away because I almost broke a tooth on chicken bone! I kept biting down on little bits of bone which was really upsetting me so I even did a little research and it said yes that sometimes cartilage and bone gets in there but after that last bite and I almost broke a tooth that’s it! I’m done!! Perdue you need to do better and I had bought the ground chicken breast 98% fat-free so I thought I was safe! I’m really really really disappointed! ☹️

When I dry to brown this ground chicken in a pan, a lot of tan colored, gelatinous goo comes out of it that lines the bottom of the pan and I have to scoop it out with a spoon before I can spread the meat around in the pan to brown it. It's very gross. I don't know what it is. But, I do know it's always in the meat. I've bought Sam's Club/Purdue ground chicken for years and the same disgusting stuff comes out of it every time. I'm guessing it's some kind of additive to add weight to the meat so that you're not really getting the 3 lbs. of meat you're paying for.
