1) activities/overall design - 5 stars. Our kids all love this set ages 4-26. My husband and I tried out every single activity (you know, definitely for research purposes only) and it’ll hold us both with no issues (husband is 200lbs and even laid out on the web swing for a mini nap). Even the grandparents have tried out the swings and slide. Kids spend hours on it. 2) quality of cedar - 3.5 maybe 4 stars. Some pieces came split. Recommend organizing all wood pieces by letter/number, taking note of what needs to be replaced and calling asap. I called Backyard Discovery in the morning and they shipped out the requested pieces that same day- great customer service. Some pieces feel a little lightweight/spongy, but the support posts, etc are strong. If you’re considering a cheaper set (<$1000) beware of the support post and swing beam dimensions and overall weight limits- I researched for almost a year before we settled on this set. Some room for improvement here but not a deal breaker. 3) quality of hardware - 5 stars. Definitely recommend organizing your hardware by number first. Some extras which was appreciated. No complaints, great quality. 4) installation - 4.5 stars. Overall, the instructions were great. We used the book, not the app. You’ll likely need more tools than the instructions recommended but I wouldn’t recommend self-install if you’re not particularly handy with a wide range of your own tools. Definitely easier as a two-person job. Took us two days but that includes us leveling the site, laying landscape fabric and filling the area with rubber mulch. Probably could be done in a day if you like to build stuff and are motivated. 5) shipping - 3 stars. No issues with timing, great communication. However the truck came with a single driver and the pallet broke so my husband and son had to help the driver unload the HEAVY boxes. If I was home alone there’s no way it could have been done. The shipping manifest specifically stated it needed 2 people to deliver. But of course this experience is specific to our local “last mile” delivery company so I didn’t factor it into the final score. 6) value - 5 stars. You can buy a cheaper set, but beware of the quality. You can buy a more expensive set that might have a slight notch up on quality as far as lumber and the possibility of some customization. This was just right for us. Hint- wait until it goes on sale (also check other retailers as they seem to rotate through which sets are on sale). Overall about 4.5 stars. Great choice. If you have the room it’s definitely worth considering.

Our 3 yr old had a liver transplant as a baby, and we got this playset as part of his Wish! It brings us such joy to see him being adventurous and having fun like a regular kid - all while being safe. Great materials - came out of the box smelling like cedar. Easy assembly and delivery. Will be a great outlet for our boys’ energy for years!

Got this play set for our daughter for her 7th birthday , and it turned out exactly as we expected . So much for her to do on this one ! My husband pretty much put it together by himself in 1 weekend . The shipping company did forget the slide , but they brought it the next day.

This is a beautiful looking playset with a nice design. Lots of ways to keep my child busy and active. As far as putting it together, the instructions were a a little hard to follow at times. I kind of compare it to putting together IKEA furniture. But the the pre-drilled guide holes were almost always precise. The quality of the decking wood for the floor of the fort is also less than desirable. I ended up reinforcing it with some additional cross beams underneath. Overall I am happy with the purchase and my child loves it.

the swing set came missing a lot of the hardware needed for assembly and the tree house part of the set will not hold an adult without making you think the floorboards are going to break , except for the board that goes across the support board in the middle. So we will see how long it holds up to children .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect sized swing set. My daughter is 6 and we got this for her for her birthday. She loves it. Took a full day of labor and had a couple sets of hands for assembly. The virtual instructions on the app was easy to use. It doesn’t take up too much room and isn’t an eye sore. Would definitely recommend.

Bought this online and received it in two weeks. Took two of us two afternoons to build it. Really good instructions just need to really pay attention to tiny holes on some of the posts to have them facing out or in. My kids love the web swing. 10yr old fits well on this play set.

The kids are quite happy with the endeavor II playset, and it's fairly easy to assemble with the instructions provided. No parts were missing/damaged beyond use on arrival. The biggest criticism is that most of the wood (thinner boards) seem to be fairly cheap quality. Many of them came warped, or immediately started to split when securing them with the screws at the appropriate depth (using the provided guided Phillips bit). Also, the floor of the fort doesn't seem sturdy enough as the boards are bending significantly with only a 35lb child walking on them; they'll likely need to be reinforced. Maybe I'll be proved wrong if the set lasts several years with annual sealing, but right now I'm doubtful.

I bought this for my grandson at Christmastime and waited until springtime to assemble the set. It is by far the best set for the money! High quality materials and everything was laid out perfectly. We (and my grandson) are thrilled with this set.

It took us forever to review the market, brands and prices. Super happy with this purchase. Quality: amazing wood, easy install (my husband and my father installed it within three days working few hours a day with a joy). It looks expensive and is very sturdy. The only few things I would suggest to consider: the slide gets hot fast - the set must be placed in a shade. The slide is quite bumpy and more vertical than horizontal- fun for older kids (from 4yo). The product comes with a warning: it is for kids from 3yo, so be prepared to be there and supervise your kids in case you have two toddlers. In just few days 3yo was able to climb all sides - if he continues he’ll be physically quite advanced. Definitely recommend this set, yet encourage adult supervision for smaller kids. great job
