Purchased a 2 pk of the bentgo chill and now am eyeing this set. I'd given up on any kind of bento/meal prep type box for lunches because none worked out. Main problems were keeping things at right cold temp and my aversion all the hand washing. Gave the bentgo chill a try and it worked out well from the start. The freezer insert keeps all food chilled til lunchtime. (Wish they made one in a bigger size for adults/older kids.) Luckily, the freezer insert does not get dirty at all due to it being sandwiched between the box & tray. So, that goes straight into the freezer after use. The tray can go in dishwasher. I hand wash the box and lay it out to dry on a towel by itself, making sure that it is open so air can get to the rubber part, as I have read quite a bit about these things getting mold on them. No problems with that (yet). By the next morning, it is dry and ready to go.

Having the ice pack is a game changer for us. I know that his lunch will stay cooler longer while in school which makes a difference in the health and quality of the food my son is eating. The box is easy to open for him and the compartments are a perfect size.

We were looking for a lunch box with cooler pack that had a reliable seal and would fit in our toddler twins’ small backpacks. It was a tall order, but this checked all of the boxes. We haven’t had any issues with it opening by itself and the food stays in its own compartment. We had a latch issue with one box just past the one-year mark, and are currently working with Bentgo on replacement since these also have a two-year warranty. That’s a big plus!

This bentgo box is great, but unfortunately the box won’t close properly and keeps opening. I love the idea of keeping my sons food cool, but it makes a mess for him in his lunch bag. Hopefully it’s only a defect and I can get a proper replace ment.

I bought a two pack and was really excited to try it, however I’m truly disappointed with it. I started using it for my 7 year old in March and it’s already growing mold and the leakage it’s another solid problem. I had my bentgo kids for two years straight without a problem. I only upgraded as my child grew as well, but without a doubt this was a terrible upgrade. I think it is better to try a different lunchbox and ice pack apart.

We love that this comes with a chill tray. My daughter started kindergarten this year and it’s important for us that we keep her food at the right temperature. Love how small and compact the lunch boxes are. It’s not heavy and easy to open and close. The design definitely adds a fun touch to lunch.

My son was entering kindergarten in Sept and I wanted to be able to buy a product that is easy to use and enough space for snacks. I stumbled upon this option and it has been great. The compartments are just enough for a snack time box and easy to wash! I loved it so much that I purchased a second one for my second son entering daycare. I would recommend this product!

I bought this set for mi daughter. It's so convenient because I have 4 spaces to fill up that it motivates me to make her more healthy and balanced meals that also look pretty and colorful and fun to eat. I just had to buy one for myself and now I know I'll need to have these lunchboxes forever. 10/10!

I bought the Bentgo Chill box for my preschooler. We used it a few times with the inner ice pack on some outings and picnics, and the food inside did NOT stay chilled. The ice pack is a thin piece of plastic that you freeze, not a true ice pack. I also found that it was impossible for my 3 year old to close with the ice pack inside. So we have been using it without the inner ice pack for school and I put a real ice pack in his lunch box on top of the bentgo box. I must say though, I do like the set up of this bentgo box better than the other (non chill) kids bentgo box. It holds plenty of food for my 3 year old for lunch (although we pack a separate morning snack). For older kids, you might want to find something larger. He has been able to close the box without the icepack on his own after some practice at home. I would recommend putting the bentgo box inside a soft lunch box because there have been a few occasions that he did not snap it close completely, and some food or liquid did spill out. Putting in another soft lunch box protected his backpack and stuff from getting covered in food. I recommend this box if you can find a good deal. But I would not purchase it just for the "chill" aspect, because you will be disappointed.
