When I started looking for a bento for my kids (2yo and 4yo at the time) I felt overwhelmed by the size of many models. My kids enjoy a warm lunch so the big models with a lot of compartments for fruits and etc wouldn't work for our family. When I found this snack size model, it was just perfect. The perfect size for my kids meal and with a removable tray that can be heated up at daycare. They have great quality and fit well in practically every bag. We use them every day and I love mixing the trays to get different color combinations :)

We have used Bentgo boxes for years and were excited this year to find the Bentgo Kids Chill Lunch Box with the ice pack part of the box itself. Our son uses it everyday for school and we hand wash it every day. Unfortunately the rubber seals have been developing mold and no matter how much I try to clean them I can not make them go away. I’ve tried Dawn, I’ve tried white vinegar. I’ve tried soaking it in a mixture of the two and despite our best efforts the mold is starting to spread more and I don’t feel comfortable using this anymore. I am very disappointed because we loved this product and it was perfect for our son’s school lunches and we followed the cleaning instructions and still had issues with mold.

My son has been using his Bentgo for preschool and has loved it. He loves helping to prepare his snack by putting them in the individual sections. It’s great that the tray comes out and that there is an ice pack. It fits in his backpack well with his water bottle, and because it is slim it doesn’t take over the space. I’ve had some confusion how the ice pack works because there is no liquid in it. It is really light so I’ve wondered if it was damaged and missing the fill. It gets cold in the freezer but I’m not sure how long it lasts. When he is home from school after 3 hours, his snack is not chilled. Other concerns have been that it is not the easiest to close, like it’s bursting at the seams. I’ve made sure all the components are snapped in place but it feels like it may burst open, but I have not seen it burst open. I don’t think my son could put it together and close it himself. A small crack developed on the side, I have no idea how. The silicone is not affected so I don’t think the seal is broken. The saddest part is that the silicone inside developed mold under normal use. We wash it by hand everyday after he gets home from school and let it air dry. So I guess it’s moisture from the time it’s prepared and used at school till he gets home that causes it. I still think it is a great product but can’t continue to use with the mold. We have had it about 2 years.

This box is perfect for snacks and you can include dip with it as well and it doesn’t leak! Easy to clean as well. Perfect smaller size for snack time.

We have had these for almost a year and couldn’t be happier. So easy to clean (dishwasher safe). It is easy to fit the right amount of snack along with a variety of snacks. It has saved a lot of waste with the right portions. We have used with dips and yogurts and it is leak proof. I do usually put dips in a small condiment container for easier clean up though. It fits right in there.

I tried different bento box that durable for my 5 year old kindergarten this is the only one that she brought home from school that didn't break after her day of school. She always breaks her other bento box so easily and this is easy for my 5 year old to open and close the lunch box by herself.

My kids really like this lunch box. I feel better knowing that they can easily access their food without having to struggle with opening containers or packages at school. I also love that the ice pack is built in for the kids. But make sure you only put the tray in the dishwasher if you have to, not the outter shell. I did not realize that, and the shell warped and caused the lid not to shut. Customer service was very helpful and replaced my lunch box.

We simply love this snack box, we use it all the time, and it’s the perfect size for our toddler. I love that it doesn’t leak and that I can put chips and dip in there and they won’t mix and cause the chips to become soggy. We use it all the time and just can’t get enough of it

Overall, this lunch box is a good size with the right number of compartments for our kindergartener. I really like the cold pack feature to keep her food cool for the day. However, the latch continues to pop open. Perhaps this was just an issue with our bentgo box. We look forward to trying out some other products :)

I bought this a year ago and it's one of my most used products to send to my kids school! It is perfect for snack time, never has any leakage and easy enough for him to open! I never like to review products until I know they are actually great and this product has lasted a year with tough daily use!
